“We live in a world awash of information, but we seem to face a growing scarcity of wisdom,” states Maria Popova, Founder of the website Brain Pickings. Popova believes it’s the storyteller’s role to interpret information and shape it into wisdom for the rest of the culture to share.

The future belongs to our greatest storytellers... I've come to believe that it always has.
    I really enjoyed this video!

and vision as a metaphor for thought is the key to unlocking a whole lot of wisdom. The good kind of thinking, like reflection, understanding, analysis, informing yourself, planning, etc. as apart from obsessing, and just repeating a thot and responding emotionally to it or having something on your mind bothering you.

Everything about this was soo good. Only thing I didn't like was the last bit about getting closer to the answer of that grand question. It should have been "a grand question" or "one of the grand questions" or just left what the "grand question" is up to viewer

a nice animation with watercolour textures about information x knowledge x wisdom.
sadly the author uses a compass to make a metaphor about going to the 'right' direction wich for her is going north, using south as a bad moral choice. we do not live at the XIX century that forged that expression out of bad ideas about humanity.
it seems too basic for me to end such a quest with the begginers question
    about 'why are we here'.

I wouldn't call 'Why are we here?' a beginners' question. It's an existential question that both children and adults will ask each other themselves over and over. It may look like a simple question, but it's the most fundamental question you can ask. I think...
