Good call replacing the engine mounts while you had the car apart to fix the subframe. Be sure to check other rubber parts such as the drive shaft flex discs as this car is almost 40 years old and the rubber goes bad just from age no matter how well the car has been stored and cared for. An ounce of prevention leads to reliable and safe driving.
your engine has a very smooth idle and overall note ... mine i think sounds different. not terrible sounding or anything. but just not as clean / pure sounding as yours. not sure why maybe fluids need changed on mine...
With the first repair (made video), it was a huge difference. It was metal on metal back then… This repair, not so much. The rubbers on this repair weren’t terrible but since I had the subframe out, I went ahead and changed them.

@@guyk4819 ohh no! I went on EBay but luckily, the seller was a junk yard in Sun Valley. Try LKQ. You can search for junk cars online. Side note, come to our monthly R107 meetups. Lots of great people that are knowledgeable and helpful.

If you own a 450SL Mercedes fixed this for free. I think they still do.
I had a buddy check into it and I guess the recall expired.
