Shocking New Jehovah's Witness Cartoon Reeks of Desperation

  • While on JW.ORG I stumbled across a new Caleb and Sophia cartoon that made my blood boil. It is utterly despicable and reeks of desperation. It is also unequivocal proof that Jehovah's Witness leaders are sinking to new lows in order to indoctrinate children at such a young age in order to maintain numerical stability. Shameful behaviour that is now synonymous with this shameless organisation.

You hit it RIGHT ON THE NAIL when you said that kids do this for RECOGNITION. That's all!
Progressing in the religion is the only thing you get recognized for as a JW kid. No worldly friend, no holidays, no recognition for doing well in school, you can't participate in sports or other school parties, and no birthdays. Hell, let's make a kid's life so lonely and unhappy that religion is the ONLY place they feel accepted and recognized. So sad.

Jesus didn't need to be baptised... the nation he was born into was already dedicated and baptised.
1 Corinthians 10:1,2 New Living Translation
1I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters,a *about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago.* All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground. *2In the cloud and in the sea, all of them were baptized* as followers of Moses.
      Exodus 19:8 New Living Translation
*And all the people responded together, “We will do everything the LORD has commanded.”* So Moses brought the people’s answer back to the LORD.
      Galatians 4:4 Amplified Bible
But when [in God’s plan] the proper time had fully come, *God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the [regulations of the] Law,*
**The people in Jesus time were baptised again by John because they realized they had not held to the national agreement made centuries before. In a way it was like "renewing their vows"/a fresh start.**
      Luke 3:3 New Living Translation
3Then John went from place to place on both sides of the Jordan River, *preaching that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.*
Jesus was without sin, he was baptised to demonstrate his change in life-course....
      Matthew 3:13-15 New Living Translation
      The Baptism of Jesus
13Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. *14But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,”* he said, “so why are you coming to me?”
*15But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.f”* So John agreed to baptize him.
      Luke 3:23 New Living Translation
      The Ancestors of Jesus
*23Jesus was about thirty years old when he began his public ministry.*
Jesus was known as the son of Joseph.
Joseph was the son of Heli.
      John 18:37 New Living Translation
Pilate said, “So you are a king?” Jesus responded, “You say I am a king. *Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth.* All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.”
      Hebrews 10:5 New Living Translation
5That is why, *when Christa came into the world,* he said to God,
“You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer.
6You were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin.
*7Then I said, ‘Look, I have come to do your will, O God-as is written about me in the Scriptures.’”b*
      John 19:30 Contemporary English Version
After Jesus drank the wine, he said, *"Everything is done!" He bowed his head and died.*
Baptism is a personal decision to serve/obey God for life (similar to marriage). If a person understands the full implications of that decision their age doesn't matter.

@@TheTruthHurts **Please Read** A highly important Critical Thinking question I often ponder. "Can people in Cults like JWs make a self aware diagnosis and recognition that they are in fact in a dangerous Cult regardless of how seemingly benign?"
My Answer. No. There's a self interest to get a deliciously yummy Lalaland Carrot 🥕 dangling from a Stick of Lies"
Interesting fact. Does Anyone remember back in 1997 that infamous Heaven's Gate Cult were 39 members committed mass suicide in a San Diego, CA Mansion to board The Mothership when Halley's Comet did a close fly by Earth in '97?
Did anyone know that 1 member escape because he was luckily kidnapped by his rightfully concerned family and for 3 days they literally tied him down and forced deprogrammed and unindoctrinated him from the Cults insane beliefs basically saving his life?

So I often ponder If encountered by a member of Heaven Gates group and I politely asked them "Is what you're involved in a dangerous doomsday Cult?" Would a Heaven's Gate member say "Well Yes I am in a dangerous doomsday Cult. What gave it away?"
Applying that same logic to the JWs "Do I actually believe a fully indoctrinated JWs if politely asked "Is what you're involved in a dangerous doomsday Cult?" The JWs would say "Yes. The religion known as Jehovah's Witnesses is indeed a dangerous Cult and a I'm proud to be in a dangerous doomsday Cult" "Thanks for asking"
JWs members are completely convinced that they're the only true Christians living Christian Bible Standards, but not only that they're God's only true religion on Earth, but not only that Armageddon is just any day away as we're all living in the Final part of the final part of The Last Day's, but not only that JWs believe that they will Live Happily Forever After on a Paradise Earth on top of the remains of 8 billion non JWs! Please Let that sink in for a moment. This is Insanity at its finest.
Finally, I believe my coined phrase "No Carrot No Cult", every Cult member chases after these Cult Leader's Lalaland Carrots 🥕 dangling from a Stick of Lies.
Heaven's Gate had their "Halley's Comet board The Mothership Lalaland Carrot 🥕 dangling from a Stick of Lies"
Not one member of Heaven's Gate asked "Why can't an intergalactic highly advanced Mothership simply just come and beam us all up like in the Star Trek Movies, huh?"
Jehovah's Witnesses have their own, "One Day I'll cheat my Death and be Living Forever After on a Paradise Earth Lalaland Carrot 🥕 dangling from a Stick of Lies"
JWs never ask "Well Since I can't actually prove with scriptures our JWs core Bible teachings how can I honestly believe these doctrines?"

Her ideas of children we're so far off base and how they were raised. I was a bad person because I was single and I raised three girls I sent him off to school and they send them off to college. I had gone to college and I had my master's degree. She couldn't comprehend that I had gay friends oh, there was no flexibility in her thinking. She was disgusted that I was doing a man's job I tried the talk to her at some level, I just couldn't get through to her. It's very sad to see. It hurts my heart that I cannot communicate with my own sister she is now 60 and lives in a group home because she can't even take care of herself her husband did everything and when he passed they kicked her out because she offered nothing as far as money to the cult. 2) I also think that driver's license analogy was extra malicious. What 5 year old doesn't want to be "grown up" enough to drive a car? By comparing the two, it implies to the child that this is something "as big" as driving a car, but something the child can do right now. What a huge temptation to be seen as a "grown up" doing things "grown ups" do!

It goes hand in hand with this despicable "you're mature now" guidance. They are not allowed to be just children but are forced to behave as if they were adults! Then elders and sisters can too often take advantage of them also sexually (brainwashing themselves that they're not kids!). It's too easy also when knowing the truth that JW Org never reports them to law enforcements in any county.

I remember losing my place once while I was looking up at the audience to maintain eye contact, and a brother in the first row having to get up and point me to the right place. (I was in the back school, so it wasn't that big of a deal, he just sat up and pointed to the right part, but I was seriously mortified at the time.) I didn't become a publisher until I was 12 though, and fortunately I never got baptized cuz I couldn't shake my doubts. But I almost was there; the only reason my brother and I didn't get railroaded into baptism is cuz our parents actually took the idea that dedication had to be sincere and from the heart really seriously, so they felt that any kind of overt pressure was wrong. (Beyond the usual guilt tripping of "[staying in the the truth] means your life!" ofc.)

On the stage, during a large JW assembly, a child proudly presents his excellent report card accompanied by a note from the teacher inviting him to pursue great studies. His father JW very kindly explains to him that continuing to study would make God very sad. Following this, the child kisses his father and thanks God for this good “biblical” advice. The whole audience begins to applaud in unison as in the days of the speeches of the Soviet party. This frightening painting of a “loving” father dutifully annihilating all the natural ambitions of his child chilled my back. Instead of encouraging and congratulating his child, this dad will prefer to annihilate with “love” the noble aspirations of his child.
Stealing the future of one's child for the exclusive account of the Watchtower society is despicable. Not encouraging an academically gifted child to achieve is like breaking (with “love”) the wings of a bird to better control it. This medieval behavior reminds me of a certain culture that discourages or prohibits little girls from pursuing studies so that, once they become adults, they cannot emancipate themselves.

Once Caleb is an unbaptized publisher he will officially be able to be publicly reproved too. It's the first step into being controlled by the threat of shunning. I had friends who were announced as being reproved when we were barely teens and then they were announced as "no longer an unbaptized publisher" and both times us other kids were told to watch our association with them. We treated them like they were diseased because that's how our parents and the elders pressured us to act 😢 We were told they were not good association and had no other input telling us otherwise so we believed it.

  • @SallieB196

I was an unbaptized publisher at 8 or 9 years old. I only did it because of peer pressure because my best friend in the Org was doing it and I was probably the only kid in the congregation in my age range who wasn’t and my friend told me her parents gave her money when she did. My dad more or less wrote out the talks and I didn’t do time cards. Actually on a funny note I don’t recall filling out time cards but I used to fill out cards with bogus names or bogus hours that were ridiculously high…lol!I never made it to baptism and I couldn’t make that commitment. I thought about getting baptized because otherwise brothers wouldn’t date someone like me but at that point there wasn’t any brothers who I fancied or had much in common and by the time I got a job and left school I was disillusioned with it all. Never got baptized but I still get soft shunned by my family unless they are reaching out to convert me

Just saw your interview on another Chanel, on the edge. You are truely an inspiration! I can only imagine the pain it felt for u growing up in such a divided household, the back and forth of different expectations by both parents.
Melissa sounds like such a strong amazing person too, the two of u sticking with each other is such a faithful example many would admire.
On the topic of kids, my JW story is kinda long with drifting in and out over the years and even in the drifting out times, our family still stuck by their rules (u know how it goes, no celebrating anything etc) the only thing we weren’t doing that we should have by the JW’s was meeting attendance for some time, this was mostly due to me having an illness lasting quite some time. Looking back now I see my illness as a bit of a blessing, even though we have never celebrated a Christmas or a birthday with our 3 children, if we were regular in our attendance very likely our children would have been more brainwashed and taken on the religion for themselves. Both our middle daughter aged 16 and myself now attend a Christian church, she has made friends for the first time in her life and likes the church we both attend, everything is read from the bible and not publications. Our other 2 children are not interested in religion for now, and hubby is still accepting the truth about the “truth.” One of the first things I did after waking up was apologised to our children for telling them everything in the world is “worldly” and only the JW’s have the truth. I had to explain to them that we were lied to and didn’t know it. Now they can make their own choices in regards to religious beliefs or atheism.
Also I love your long videos, u are one of a kind and I could watch your content everyday! 😊

The family however obeys the rules and shuns him , evicting him from the house, pretending he's dead and so for. What can this teen do with himself considering he's a minor and in the eyes of the secular authorities still a responsibility of his brainwashed parents?

    • @cygnustsp

The parents can't abandon him in the USA anyway. Nor are they compelled to treat him as dead. I think such an occurrence would be extremely rare and only if a court ordered the child to stay at a rehab or JD center. Watchtower has made it clear only spiritual association should be avoided when it comes to household family members.

In the US, any child under 18 who is kicked out of home can apply for public assistance. It happens ( I've known of 2 non- JW cases of this) . If they do, the authorities will talk to the parents. The kid may land in foster care or care for the homeless, but homeless minors tend to get more help. Community Services in your country is a good starting place.

The whole time during this video I saw little Tony. Massive flashbacks. I got baptized at 14 in 89 and they still tell me that it was on me-that I wasn’t pressured and MY decision. Pretty sure under different circumstances my folks would have been the best Nazis!

Back in 1981 young ones in my congregation round 14 we’re disfellowshipped and they said it was because they were unbaptized publisher‘s and they should’ve known better. it’s interesting now how they are playing on younger ones to be unbaptized publisher‘s they evidently want them to know also when they’re punished it’s not a surprise

I was baptized at 10. My mom wanted to "prove" she was an Uber witness. So I had to be the first girl in our hall to get dunked. All I got out of it was strep throat and pink eye from the nasty pool water. Ugh. I hated everything about service and the horrible "skits" we sisters had to do onstage. I even got to participate at a district convention.
Ruined my childhood. Ruined my family and cost my daddy his life.
This "publishing company" and it's higher minions have sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much blood on their horrible hands. When they do croak, their "prize" from jahober isn't gonna be kings....at times I truly wish there was an actual hell...

Anybody with half a brain wot that baptism was meant to be done in *running water* .
I'm Catholic and I can tell you that, for the last few centuries, we've just sprinkled water over the kids while they sit comfortably in a sink.
Stay away from Protestants, Mormons, and *especially* Jehovah's Witnesses! They all worship a god-of-Hate.

As a non-JW I have often been shocked at how young some of the children pushed into this are. A couple of times a little boy dressed in a three piece suit and tie came to my door (with adults.) He was the one who delivered "the message". Obviously it is much harder to say no to an earnest (and cute) child. So manipulative.

    • @cindys9491
      @cindys9491 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Right. I was in a different denomination and was pushed to try to convert a family member because I was 8 and they had already said no when an adult had tried to convince them. Note: it didn't "work" and then I had two problems: being afraid the family member was mad at me and also being afraid they were in eternal danger. Don't make kids do this, people. Also, someone who "agrees" just to make a kid smile isn't a real conversion.

Wow, thanks for breaking this down. My little nephews are being brinwashed by my family & the religion. I was lucky enough to brwak away from it at 18. It was very hard to do. It's difficult seeing rhwm brainwash the kids. If inspeak uo, they will likely disown me even more.

Thank you for this video..I left at 17, I'm 59 now. Our whole family generational had been JW back to the early 1920s.
All of us kids, left as we grew some like me quickly others hanging on till they were 30.
My dad 95 years old is the only one still in the JW.
What is interesting is how different the organization is than it was. I don't recall any formal discussions or decisions to service ministry at all but you are so correct I was serving handing out literature and memorizing short door to door presentations.
I can't recall any ,when.. I started counting hours, but likely very young practicing writing on the pioneer hours slips. My stay at home mom pioneered often

I think the majority of baptisms now in this religion come from within themselves family members being baptised, not many outsiders are being coerced into the religion, my wife is a JW for 40+ years and has never had even a bible study that she has started, never mind a baptismal candidate.

At time stamp 12:28 the book references 2 scriptures. Luke 6:45 and Romans 10:10. Both scriptures are talking about an adult and not a young child. Luke 6:45 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good;”. Romans 10:10 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, …..”. Using these references to indoctrinate children is evil.

thank you for bringing this to light brother. Unfortunately I am still stuck in this awful religion; I am at the moment going to have to stay in because I need my family, I have no non witness relatives and I am not ready to be cut off from everyone i've ever loved. It might be years or even decades before I am able to leave, because family is everything to me. However, best be assured I find this crap disgusting and will rage about it in private even if I am smiling with eyes glazed over around the other jws. the reason I have to live this hell is exactly because of what was discussed in this video, I was roped in as a little girl.
