Its amazing how these old dozers are still going. I have a 1945 cat d4 2T. I have electric starter. And the pony. Electric starter is nice when ya stall her out by accident. Ponys nice when its cold out. Only problem is parts are going obsolete for these machines.
Thank you. I wish they would let people like yourself share a pic of equipment but I guess with the world today we would get pics of things that we wouldn’t want to see
Excellent video Wiley :) also those Catpilleer Dozer are amazing think this be well taken care of too too and that Round muffler with rain cap flapper I remember it my late Uncle Bill JR had on his 1950 Cockshutt 40 Gas farm tractor on 230 Cubic Cm 6 cylinder motor Buda ! Then 1984 rust out he put International tractor Round without flapper too and my late Dad 1968 McCormick International 105C combine gas motor 4 cylinder 202 Cubic Inches had same small one with rain flapper too ! Smaller Exhaust Muffler nickname Piglet !
@@DontbeWily well, just be thankful they're a dime a dozen. That's one thing off brand tools are good for lol. Losing them don't make you lose a mortgage to replace lol
Thank you Wiley. I love to watch your channel I enjoy watching the will it start videos you have a pretty good starting record. My wife and I are from Florala I met you there here a while back at the Gitty up and Go when I went to pay for my gas. Y'all keep it up God bless.
Thanks for another great video Wiley. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Sorry you lost your tools. Try and remember to keep tools off the tracks if you can. Know that is not so easy sometimes. Old cat runs. Engine sounds fairly good but hard to tell. Just needs some engine maintenance I think and some overall TLC. Cylinders might be leaking. Just needs some TLC. Thanks for getting it running Wiley. You did a good job. Take care Wiley. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Thanks Steve Laziness caused me to lose the tools. I stoped to get them off tracks and machine rolled forward so i made the decision to get them off the ground when i got to level ground I did forget about the bucket i took of the back Another great reason to have Jacob around
I'm thinkin' that the start/run lever is a compression release. When in the start position, it allows the engine to crank freely without firing to buildup some heat. Tracks and bushings look pretty good but it don't sound like she's firing on all six cylinders. Serial number is on that aluminum tag on the engine block: it might be blotted out if the tractor was sandblasted and repainted sometime in it's life. As another commentator had already mentioned, another manufacturers plate is probably hidden under the winch. That tractor looks like an ol' "B" series from the early 60's.
Hope you locate your tools Wiley, need a metal detector to add to your tools. Glad you eradicated those stinging rascals, don’t need that on a hot day! Nice to see a great icon Caterpillar run, and move dirt again! What a great machine!
you do awesome work, don't let the rest of your followers take the blame of passing by the entire video just to hear the kick off...it was me, thx for the times
You do great on your Do it start videos , my honest opinion your the best ! Don’t change anything ! I wish you and Hank was still together, but you guys are not , I don’t even have interest in his videos anymore , and it’s sad and I hate to say it , but , I honestly wish yall was both back together doing do it start videos , Cause yall both together was the best !!!! ❤ Both yall jokes , and knowledge were on point !!
You may not find the serial number plate. It is located at the back of the tractor below the fuel tank on the left side. I am sure the winch is covering it up. Thank you for another nice video.
Mr Wiley, I really enjoy your video’s and at some point learn something. Thank you for what you do! Oh…. On those pesty wasp , hornets etc spray them with a mixture of just dish soap and water. It kills them quickly something to do with breaking down their exoskeleton system. Just an fyi thing. God bless you and your family!!
As long as the controls aren't rusted up tight as your hat band it ought pop off with some fuel and sparkles in some batteries it'll be another great video
Awesome video Wiley 👍👍👍 it was tuff to get it started. Always a good idea to bring spray to kill the wasps, I been stung by a wasp it hurts bad, got to kill them bastards. Them you can work. 👍👍👍👍
I know who you remind me of a little bit. It's a fella that does TH-cam also under the channel name. Bruce down under. You are the American version. Both of y'all are good channels I very much enjoy watching. Because if I happen to work on some old equipment. I know exactly what to do. An trust me. I work on a lot of stuff myself. Just not heavy equipment but there will be a day or more coming in my future. It's just how things work for me. 😂 Stay safe and hydrated, my friend.
Oh my gosh! How can you leave tools and lose them in the tall grass? A tool I always carried was a nail magnet, like you use to find nails after a roofing job. It always comes in handy for finding those lost tools. Don't ask how I know. 🙄
I watch both of your channels i never miss one. Keep em coming
Thank you very much
Great show as always wily!! I watch both channels and really enjoy your work. Thanks for everything you do!!
I appreciate that!

I like your two fisted wasp spray method 😂 Boy, that gas powered charger is awesome! She sure runs good Wiley.
Lol 😂. I noticed from the video it had an overlapping spray. I probably used one whole can but it don’t seem like that when blasting with 2
Thanks for another great video Wiley.
