- hello loves. I am sharing with you the process of how I transform my classroom from drab to fab. I hope you enjoy.
ps: I'm sorry the quality and sound are so poor in this video. I filmed it with my old point and shoot camera and I did not want to carry in my heavy DSLR, tripod and professional lighting along with the 900 other bags full of school supplies (over-exaggerative but still haha). I hope you understand.

When I was in kindergarten, my teacher bought an inflatable pool, and filled it with pillows and blankets for some of us to relax in and read. Everyone loved it. That could be a cheaper way to fill that area if you didn't want to spend too much more money

I love how your going beyond just for them. Clean, safety and affordable. Every child deserves the very best and your doing just that and more. I wouldn't want my classroom to look like a dump and everything will have to organized. GREAT job your amazing and dedicated to your student's.
Usally the kids steal pencils and stuff from the chubby’s so be careful and once some girl from my class stole a glue a pencil a pen and some scicors
My fifth grade teacher was the worst! She made me cry, she called many students out in front of people. When we had our test that the state would give or the school would give where we had to read so she could see our reading levels she wouldn’t be happy with where a lot of us were and even told me once I wouldn’t make it past middle school, I would have speech and separate reading classes everyday just about and she would tell me I’m going to do horrible on state test because I was never in class yet I needed speech majorly because I could barley say half the words kids my age could say and I wasn’t a good reader. She just didn’t love her job and it was obvious. Turns out I graduated high school this past June, I’m on my way to college soon. I’m becoming a teacher. She just showed me what not to be when I get to become a teacher and have my own kids to teach. She really made me hate school for a while and really brought me down. Happy to say she was wrong with everything she said and I only succeeded
My brother is in speech and was pulled out too. The same happened to him but he is in 6th grade now! :)
I had a 4th grade teacher and a geometry teacher like that. they both played favorites and on more then one occasion told my mom that I was stupid and would never amount to anything
Spenser Lamphear actually that’s not completely true. My sister is a teacher and I’m currently in college for teaching. Even if they are watched they put on a show. I’m not trying to sound rude so don’t think I am but teachers do say that when they do hate their job. Not a lot are like this but there are a couple of teachers that students get that are like this. My teachers words were literally what I said, it’s not like she said it in another way then I took it a different way. That wasn’t my case, possibly another’s. My teacher was personally Just mad I would leave class for my special classes I had to take due to my own issues.

No offence, but if that was true, then we wouldn't see teachers on the news...
I currently am working as a teacher for my school distracts after school program on many accounts I have had students come up to me saying things like this mostly my older students who are going into middle school. But i will give you credit where it is due. Some kids do take things the wrong way when they are said. Everyone has different experiences in school. I had some amazing teachers but the 2 of mine that I pointed out were very rude toward me and others. In 4th grade I may have taken it wrong. But that geometry teacher told me and my mother that I would not amount to anything. I have heard and spoke to teachers who have said things like this to students. Especially with the fact that our school system is so small there is only one elementary school here that helps children who have learning and behavioral issues.
Bravo, sister! My principal moved me to 5th grade for 19/20 school year, and I have to say that I'm actually feeling excited. I will be teaching Reading/LA and Soc. Studies. I love your positive outlook, it's contagious!!

Obviously they're not spending tax money, I mean really, they couldn't even paint the trim and doors looks horrible. You made it look very nice, It's a shame you have to spend your own money. I would put tape around the Felts the kids are going to be stepping on the felt sticking out

I definitely need to felt my chairs.This is such a great idea. It's so cute and functional. It will decrease the noise from chairs sliding against the floor while preventing the floor from being scratched. The room looks amazing!

Maybe instead of bean bags you can get a few cushions and a tall lamp in the corner 🤨 I know 5 and below has some cushions durning certain seasons and I’m pretty sure you can get a tall lamp for pretty cheap at someplace like target or Walmart. Blankets are also a great way to cozy up a corner.

I love seeing classroom set-up videos where teachers don't have an ideal situation to work with. You took an odd-shaped room and a hodge-podge of furniture and made it a beautiful space for learning. Good job!

I would check out goodwill, Craigslist, and eBay for chairs, or whatnot for flexible seating. Maybe also be on the lookout for lounge chair cushions on sale as summer ends.

If you are really tight on money for it, you could just get pillows and blankets for over there. They could still sit on the floor with that. Beanbags are pricey even at walmart.

I am suddenly fortunate that we got individual desks and cubbies. And nice large classrooms that were either square/rectangular or like a hexagon. Our teacher never supplied anything like pencils for us though, but they did supply us with rulers and paper and etc.
