💪Well done Fiona 💪. No one should have to put up with this sort of bullying. They probably do this to others to get near the water point their selves, but not this winter 😜👍. I’ve checked the map so I’m pretty sure I know which water point you are talking about. I’ve been in touch with the secretary of the vintage generator and noisy engine society and they are now hoping to hold their 8 week 100 decibel and above appreciation event in Hinckley, they won’t start the event until confirmation that you and Emma have moved on (I’m now looking for an old generator with a broken silencer so I can participate🤪). All joking aside, hats off to you for teaching Emma this valuable life lesson, and the correct way of dealing with situations like this. Stay safe you pair ❤️
Hi Emma's mum. We are quite local to you, we moor half a mile away and live nearby. If you are stuck for anything while you are local just shout, if we can help with anything we will and we have car etc local. Just shout if we can offer any assistance or lift to shops etc.
Since this is likely the only time that comments will be turned on, well done for taking a stand and Happy Christmas to you both. Our weekly dose of Emma is a nice light in the current darkness.
A Frenchman (not a boater) once noted: "Hell is other people." Stay strong and stand up for your rights, but don't escalate (I don't think you would do that anyway). Keep a log of when you run the generator and any other events. Use the law as a last recourse. Stay safe. BTW: 20 years in the same mooring spot sounds like a self-imposed sentence of absolute boredom and wasted life.
Well done for standing up to that " Gentleman". You're 100% right, and he's probably picking his mark with a woman with a child. He's a creep,NOT a Gentleman, but I understand you not wanting to inflame the matter with derogatory terms. Best wishes to you and Emma and the Woof woofs for Christmas. I enjoy Emma's videos, she's a lovely girl who I'm sure you are incredibly proud of.💜🎄🎄
Let me make a list: 1. You are great in front of the camera, don't put yourself down. 2. I am always impressed by the positive attitude that you and Emma have. You tend to see the best in every situation and rarely let anything get you down. I's sorry that this has been an issue for you. 3. Thank you for not roaming all over the place during a lockdown; many people could take a good lesson from you and you are doing your bit to help keep the country safe. 4. Thank you for demonstrating to Emma (and perhaps some grown ups who are less mature than Emma is) the correct way to address an issue. You have not resorted to anger or name calling, but have been respectful and calm in putting your point across. 5. Thank you for standing up to bullying. You are doing the right thing. 6. And finally, thank you for all that you do in putting forward a positive view of the cut and boating life. Never stop!
I'm sorry you have to put up with idiots who think a mum and daughter pair can be disrespected like that. You're incredibly polite in dealing with this, and a brilliant example of how to deal with conflict.
Sod um you run your genny as much as you like, your daughter is a credit to you, and you are a credit to your daughter hope you have a good Christmas and just hope Santa sinks the boat next door!
The other boater's behavior is totally unacceptable, good on you Fiona for speaking up , I fully support you in what you said and hope that everything goes well for you and Emma.
Sadly there are too many selfish morons around. Stand firm and carry on doing what you’re doing. Weird that some people have clicked “dislike” on this video.
May I add a suggestion that you should have a security camera installed to monitor the activity outside your boat and carry one with you. You will have proof of any incidents and it will be undeniable. I'm fond of this channel and stop in from time to time. I'm glad to see you up close and see you aren't afraid of the good fight. Best wishes.👍
Well said Fiona, these things need saying, lets hope they take it onboard , this is a time we all need to pull together, you where great in front of the camera.
So sorry to hear this 😕 boaters should ALLWAYS show other boaters respect! What you have done is well within the rules and we all support you and Emma! Two lovely people. As if life isn’t hard enough as it is! Wishing you both a very happy Christmas x
Sorry to see you and Emma are having a tough time, that sounds quite upsetting. Many folks are having a difficult time and we all need to be that extra bit accomodating, what a shame people won't just talk, as you suggest I'm sure any issue could be resolved. Take care and stay safe both of you
You are right ,there are times when you have to stand your ground. A thing that i have noticed in my everyday life is that single parents especially women ,tend to be taken advantage of because there is not a man around to stand up in their defense ,like in the case of this bully.
Good on you for standing up to bullying. There are always these bullies in every aspect of life. You have the law on your side. They usually go quiet when confronted.
It all boils down to respect for fellow boaters. Having been continual cruisers for many many years, we noticed how the people’s attitude we encountered has changed dramatically since we first took to life on the cut and not in a good way. A case in point being, when asking a passing boater to slow down please, you didn’t expect to get a load of verbal abuse back !. It got to a point where we had had enough and we now have a lovely peaceful mooring on a river. I miss the canals but not the stress that a few (not the majority) gave us. All the very best to you and Emma and we wish you peace this Xmas and the coming year 🦆💕
I really don't like arrogant, entitled people like these and I'm so glad you're standing up to them. If it gets any worse I think you should involve the Police again. This could be classed as harrassment or even threatening behaviour. Hope you can resolve this and love to you both. Incidentally I received my calendar and it is great.
Wow! Why are people so horrible? No one should be forced to move against their will, especially not if you think it is for selfish reasons. I think you come across as a thoroughly reasonable person, but it looks like they are messing with the wrong person this time. Stay safe, stay resolute, and don't let them grind you down.
Hi Fiona, From my comfy central heated living equipped with all the unnecessary electronic nonsense you can think of, I do realize that narrow boating not only is fun. I'm a bit disappointed that people do not understand that you did not choose to be stuck on one place and it's nice to see that narrow boaters in general help each other whenever needed. All the best from the Netherlands.
Good for you Mum. I need to correct you on one thing. That was no "gentleman." Emma is blessed to have you as a good example to follow as she grows into adulthood. If you give in to bully's it only encourages them. The next time he threatens to notify the CRT, just tell him to do what he has to do.
I agree it is totally unacceptable. I think maybe your 'hunch' could be right, but that means someone is behaving as if they 'own' the canal. In that respect one would hope that in the event they complain the CRT will slap them down. Keep well and know that you have a lot of boaters and some of us landies standing with you.
Self-righteous bullies are creepy. Do be careful. Now in Canada, I did once own a small narrowboat and found the community warm and helpful even with a fumbling weekend boater. Look for the good. Be kind. And do not be defeated by a bully. Using your generator is the right solution.
Hi Emma's Mum. Thank you for fronting the camera and directing attention to this very issue you discuss here, with these irate, selfish and bullying individuals and their pathetic conduct. Absolutely appalling and downright bullying on their part! You definitely are perfectly entitled to share your story with your situation in light of your lockdown climate over there. Cheers from Australia. (Btw, your persona to camera was excellent, very direct and confident, almost professional! A great effort on your part)
I think all the viewers of Emma's videos are interested in her life being healthy and well rounded. You making us aware of things that affect her is great (IMHO). I find bullying reprehensible, I was a victim of bullying in school. People don't realise how traumatic bullying can be. In my case bullying changed my life. I was the target of a football player, he was big and I was small. It seemed everyone students and unfortunately teachers as well thought this football hero could do no wrong. If you can imagine a 15 year old boy (me) being stood on a cafeteria table and held there as they pulled down my pants in front of everyone. I was mortified, crushed really. The teachers all laughed...this was back in 1970. I have never been the same. So you protect yourself and stand up for yourself. This man is NOT a gentleman. Love ur videos. You are trying your best to accommodate these people, if they choose to not help with a solution, and you are following the rules of the canal.tell them to KYA...I would keep your phone with you and on and film every interaction with these folks. Also a photo record of the time they stay at the location. I know you have many British fans.....they will be there in a moments time to assist you.
I hope Emma and you stay safe, and have no more issues. I love her vlogs and envy your lives aboard your narrow boat. Wish I could offer you support, but NZ is a bit far away. ❤️
I'm sorry you've had to deal with this. As a boater myself I can say that almost everyone we've met on the cut has been friendly, helpful and understanding so it's a shame that you've had to deal with this when there is so much else going on, especially when you've tried to answer their concerns. Stay safe.
Hi Fiona, Thanks for documenting this on video. Please also contact the CRT and the police. You need to enlist support so this man knows that other people are watching him. Emma's video about your earlier problems impressed me with her smarts and steel (and, like her Mum, her grace). You each have common sense, kindness and courage. About maturity, Comments are on! Maybe TH-cam's robot detected an adult at the start. At 13 Emma is clearly mature enough to have her comments back. How about a tactic (up to Emma, it's her channel) of Mum showing up at the start of each video with "Hello, it's your Big Narrowboat Girl!", saying a few words, followed by Emma's own welcome back? When the robot sees and hears you, it may be less likely to cut off Emma's comments. If this worked for a few months, Mum could go back to the tiller or a good book and the comments might hopefully stay on. Look at all the comments you have! Comments are interactions that will help to boost Emma's videos in TH-cam's algorithm. They are almost essential to help Emma grow her channel. Perhaps a little sleight of hand could help TH-cam's machines and humans correctly identify Narrowboat Girl as a young woman's channel that is NOT made for kids. Best wishes for a happy and blessed holiday.
You ARE teaching your daughter the right thing. I believe Emma will grow to be s strong and independent young lady following your example. Merry Christmas to the both of you
We left the UK ten years ago, but family tell us of the vast increase in people thinking they can get away with bullying and entitled behaviour of the sort you describe. This seems to be afflicting all ages, with a general decline in what our generation would describe as 'civility' and 'consideration for others', and an increase in loopy random aggression. I'm sorry you two have suffered such abuse twice in such a short span: in difficult times people should be looking out for each other, not taking out our frustrations on the nearest target. Never apologise for your communication skills: you come over as intelligent, articulate, and strong. God bless you both, give you peace this Christmas, and grant you (and all of us) a better year!
It's a great shame that people of that mindset can be found everywhere. You've dealt with it very well and you seem to be a great mother. Continue looking after yourself and your daughter and have a safe winter.
Love from Oregon. We have really been enjoying your videos! Thanks for sharing your fun adventures. Sorry that you've had trouble with the annoying. A small percentage of people everywhere just kind of stink ya' know. Close to 11K of us appreciate you so far, we all know there will be many more. Good luck and please carry on with your amazing lives!
Good for you Fiona for standing your ground , don't ever let these type of people think that they can push anyone around without consequences . It might be a good idea to have a video of any confrontation just to protect you're self and Emma and to use as evidence if legal proceedings were to take place.
You are right- I was thinking someone else will just move into that spot. And then ‘boom’ that’s their reason too. Happened to some boats near us the other day- they were told they were too noisy- so they moved on. Only to be replaced with- you guessed it- other boats. It’s the nature of winter. Good on you for calling out the bully. We send all our love 💞
Well said and kudos to you for standing up to that numty. As you said, you can't prove it but it seems likely that you are moored in 'their' winter mooring spot. No excuse Fiona, as you are well within your rights to stand your ground. Good for you! Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Maybe we can stream the audio content of this video on Canal Radio UK as a podcast? Just say the word and I will broadcast it across the waterways :) Bullying will not be tolerated from kids or adults and these people need to be made aware of that. Stay safe you two.
Thanks Pete. We are looking forward to producing our next more positive video. I will think about the podcast. Perhaps these people have had enough exposure! Speak soon. Fiona
Your clearly dealing with a coward. If you were a man a coward like this would not have confronted you. Sorry I live on the other side of the pond or I would love to personally confront this coward. Continue to stand your ground.
I'm sorry that you've had to go through such a hostile experience. End of the day you're doing everything you can in compliance with CRT and communication, following policies and procedures and even open to customising your generator schedule with the boater who works nights. You should 'never' have to go through such an experience. Covid-19 has brought alien situations to us to the likes that have never been felt before in our lifetimes and people need to understand this. As you say "Life is hard enough at the moment"... As far as I'm concerned you're doing everything right and don't deserve the bullying and harassment for your recent living scenario.
I am so sorry for your hassles, from the sound of it Gentleman is not a fit Epithet for him. Boaters should really have a better understanding of your needs. After the last incident I offered my help, so if you want a 6'4" 200ibs biker for your "bubble" im willing to travel :)
I would put it on at 6pm, that way if it takes 2 or 3 hours it's done by 9pm /10pm at night. If they complain you have shown that you have tried to accommodate them.
I would imagine this person is going to be well known and I think he's made a problem for himself in the future and I hope he gets what he deserves. Merry Christmas to you and Emma.
Good for you, there is no need for him being rude. I worked nights for 10 years and sleeping during the day, especially in summer when the boat is hot, is not easy, but, you have to accept that life outside still goes on. She could use ear plugs, I have had to do that myself, l was moored next to the hoist, but l managed and that is a darn site noisier than a gunny, so they need to accept that they are not the only people on the cut and need to apply manners. Guys, take care out there and stay safe xx
In the US, there is a plethora of boorish and self-absorbed people these days. It seems to be much worse in recent times. Good for you for putting your foot down. Perhaps the CRT would be interested to know that you have been so threatened and intimidated without cause. In any case, congratulations for raising such a poised young lady and encouraging her creativity. I really enjoy the story of your lives as you share it through through your postings. Good luck!
Hugely balanced and logical discussion, sadly up against closed minds with their own agenda. Well done for airing it here - allows non-boaters (such as myself) to understand some of the challenges faced on the cut. This is the perfect example of how to handle any such situation, in any part of life. Brilliant and thank you
I’m so sorry to hear this, we’ve been watching Emma’s channel for a while and it’s helped us along with other vloggers to take the decision to sell our house and buy a boat. We sold on Friday and we are currently living in a caravan whilst we search for our boat. We can’t wait as we’ve heard so much positivity about the boating community. I guess you always get the odd idiot who lets the side down. Look forward to more fantastic videos and happy cruising. Rich & Jax
Thank you for sharing this information. I don’t understand why people are so mean and nasty. Watching Narrowboat videos gives the impression of such a calm, peaceful and idyllic life style. But obviously there are unkind people everywhere. I hope this is this Last encounter you have with people like this and can go on living in peace as it should be. Wishing you all the best.
We as a boating community should be helping each other out!! I know it don’t always work that way but it should!! Stick to your guns Fiona and I support your stand up to bullies!
Hi Fiona, following the rules, trying to understand the needs of others and being accommodating shows that you’ve done your best. It seems that for some reason that isn’t enough for this fellow. It’s a shame that he can’t be more candid and explain what specifically is bothering him. It’s not up to him to tell you to move on. That’s for the CRT to say. If he does contact the CRT and they investigate, hopefully they will explain to this fellow that you’re not breaking any rules and then he’ll stop being such an officious buffoon. Be well and best wishes for Christmas and the new year.
It’s even meaner when u guys are staying there to help a friend and their dog out. Maybe you need some good music to help calm you, I can recommend “I won’t back down” by Tom Petty, very therapeutic but you must play on top volume, repeatedly for best results.
Thank you for sharing this beautyful video. Do not let people steal your joy. There are jealousy people all over. I am dealing with anger and jealousy here . You two beautiful ladies are always in my prayers. Mark always.
I'm so sorry to hear the issues from people during the difficult times! I remembered your video with the homeowner. I'm glad your standing up to bullying, nobody should go through that! It was very nice too see a video in your own words. Too bad it was this issue? I wish you (Mum) and Emma a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! I've been subscribed here for a long time. Your both doing a wonderful job making videos! God Bless You! Ray from Spring Hill, Florida USA
Hello, Fiona. Well done in front of the camera. You did great. It's my experience when things like these happen is that the behaviour is a smokescreen for something that they don't want people to know. The fact that you are two females alone lets them think they can bully and make this smokescreen. You can almost bet if they contact the C&RT, that they would be the one who would have to move. Happy Christmas to you both. Stay safe.
Not a lot more that I can add that not been said. Well done you for standing your ground. Bullying is totally unacceptable, absolutely disgusting behaviour even more so being directed at a mother and child. Just keep your chin up and don't let it get either of you down. Whilst the comments are on I'd just like to say that although I live on The Lizard Peninsular in the far west of Cornwall about 120+ miles from the nearest canal I regularly watch Emma's channel along with several other Canal boat videos and must say for her age she does some amazing videos. Always very interesting and informative. You must be very proud. Well done her.
I am sorry that you are being treated so horribly by those nasty ppl. :( How dare they acting like that although you have done everything right ? I wish strength and patience to you. I have you in my heart and hope that everything will get better soon. 💖
Narrowboat Girl is the best Narrowboat channel among many fine channels. Keep up the great work. There will always be those with narrow and rigid mindsets making demands on others to fill whatever gaps they have in their own lives. We have one over here in the White House now. Standing your ground is a great lesson to learn and Narrowboat Mum is providing a tutorial on how its done best efforts to accommodate are rebuffed. Cheers.
Thank you for addressing this. As long as you are working within the rules then the issue is entirely the other persons. It’s not your responsibility to sort out other people’s problems regardless of how long they have been there. As you say, generators, engines running etc is part of life on the canal, particularly in the winter months. Best of luck to you both
I surport you decision not to cave to the threats and demands from your neighbor. I’m proud that you stood your ground most people would have moved to a new location. I probably would have. You are doing a great job mum. I wish you long life and happiness.
I suspect the bulling approach has served that dude well in the past. If true, it's time he comes to understand, that it doesn't always serve. Be Safe,,
Hi Fiona, what do you mean - not good in front of the camera? I disagree. That was well reasoned and very effective. I live quite close so I couldn't resist making a quick anonymous visit. Great to hear your generator running and there was another one on the bank by the boat next to yours. To be honest, there was much more noise coming from the nearby road - in fact, a constant drone, so I don't understand why he'd chosen that location for a residential mooring. Also, plenty of space to moor up near you so the other guy could have moved to the water point. I'm not excusing his behaviour, but this whole situation is causing some of us to act in very peculiar ways. So, stay safe and well done for standing your ground.
2 x 1 hour a day for your gennie is very very reasonable and should not be a problem for anobody to complain about. Trying to accomodate the complainer is another thing you is to be applauded. You must inform the local constabulary of what is going on and also inform CRT of the issue.
You have a great speaking voice and my old Southern US ears can understand what a delight. So sorry about your bullying problems. Some people can be so cruel. I find there is No Grace in their horrid life so they never rise above the pain in there own life. A special prayer for your family.
Very put together video. Remember the time when a householder had issues with you mooring the boat and thought it was another householder. But for another boater to have such issues when I presume they use a generator or run the boat engine to charge their batteries at winter time. Hopefully it will be peace again. All the best to Fiona and Emma and wishing you both a happy Christmas
Dear Emma's Mum, well done! The prickly, obnoxious, self-styled authorities will abuse anyone for anything. In hindsight, 1776 was a good thing, we often view what occurs in the UK with amazement over the constriction of rights and freedoms that we observe far too frequently from this side of the pond. Some people might need to be reminded that mental health assistance is available, should they need it. Thanks for supporting Emma, she is lovely young lady, and will be a credit to you through the years to come.
It's good to hear from you and now I know why Emma is turning into such an exemplary young lady. At first I thought maybe she'd been bullied online, but you've done a good job of protecting her from that on TH-cam. Sorry you're having to deal with this unpleasant neighbor!
Though I'm not a boater myself (I'm very much an armchair gongoozler!) I do like to follow those of you who've chosen what seems an idyllic life. Well done for standing your ground. No matter where you turn in life there are those who seek to impose their view of the world on others, who seek to dominate. Such behaviour needs to be challenged and dealt with. Perhaps it would be helpful if the CRT were to introduce a means of reporting bullying behaviour like this, with perhaps the possibility of sanctions against repeat offenders. Should this person become more aggressive, call the police. Such behaviour is totally unacceptable. Take care both of you (and furry friends) and have as great a Christmas as you can, under the present circumstances.
Rules & Safety, during these time's needs redressing by all Narrowboaters & CRT. It shouldn't take extenuating circumstances to defend Mother & Daughter, as the song says, We All Stand Together. Best advice, Get safe & Get legal.
Please do consider reporting the matter to the police with an email or call to the local PCSO. If anything further happens it will evidence that you have previously had an issue, and are not overreacting. The behaviour is unacceptable.
I hated generators being used near to me i relied on wind power and rarely running the engine in gear whilst moored, also you have five very noisy dogs who must suffer terribly in the summer heat as you never have any windows open and both bow and stern doors have covers. On the positive side i think you are a super mum and should be commended for the way you are raising Emma . Two of us ran a pair in the nineties BW ruined it there are many kinds of bullying they had it down to a fine art best wishes Laurence
Good for you standing your ground. Those people sound completely unreasonable and just downright miserable pieces of work! You are 100% within your rights to moor there and they must just like it or lump it! Next time they spew their bile at you, just smile benignly and say "And a merry Christmas to you too!" then walk away - they don't deserve any more of your time or attention whatsoever.
Bullying in any shape or form is wholly unacceptable. It cannot and should not be covered up or tolerated, so do not apologise and well done for coming forward in such a way, if nothing else it will raise awareness of what is often hidden or covered up. All the very best for the future and may your cruising be joyful.
It must be so hard to have to go through this. Some people are just totally self-centred and refuse to see anyone else's point of view. If I were you I'd let the CRT know that you're having problems - not to be nasty but to protect yourselves if these neighbours try to cause you trouble. Wishing you luck. Stay safe.
Good for you for making this video Fiona, but I am really sad that you have been through this disgusting behaviour. There will always be haters but you need to live your life the way you want to. Merry Christmas to you and Emma.
One would expect a large degree of solidarity between people who share the same way of living. But sadly that's not how today's society works, despite your best efforts to stay polite and reach a solution to a problem that isn't even yours. You're doing more than what is legally required. Anyone should be delighted to have you as a neighbour. I certainly would !
Report them to the CRT and police every time they give you any grief. Also, if their attitude is this bad with another boater then letting the other people in the boating community know about them is not naming and shaming, it's just fair warning 😎 Good on you for not letting the obnoxious git get his way 😁
Well said and chin up. Even though it is not a happy topic, I appreciate your attitude and willingness to share and talk about it. It is a very courageous act.
Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41: 11-13 Merry Christmas, mum! There are complete strangers praying for you! Thank you for raising such a great kid, stay strong and safe, and God bless you both!
You're 100% in the right, Fiona, and those types of people need to avoid the people who are legitimately allowed to be there... Keep standing up and be accounted for!!
Fiona, so sad to read this, and well done you for sharing this. It is not acceptable. Love to Emma and yourself and hope this awful problem is soon over. Take care and best wishes for Christmas xx
We all stand behind you, any kind of bullying should not be accepted on our waterways but especially this kind and from other boaters who should know better. Great channel and keep up the superb work !
Good on you Narrowboat Mum, stand your ground against these bullies. Best of luck.
Since this is likely the only time that comments will be turned on, well done for taking a stand and Happy Christmas to you both. Our weekly dose of Emma is a nice light in the current darkness.
No one needs this sort of bullying on land or water, keep your chin up don’t let them get you down.
I enjoy Emma's videos, she's a lovely girl who I'm sure you are incredibly proud of.💜🎄🎄
Let me make a list:
Well said Fiona, I find it disgusting that hes bullying two lovely ladies. Hope Emma is ok, call the police if needed... you know where I am xx
I'd report this to the CRT immediatly! I's not completely unlikely, that other people already had the pleasure .🤨
Well said Fiona, these things need saying, lets hope they take it onboard , this is a time we all need to pull together, you where great in front of the camera.
Report them to the CRT. They are probably breaking more rules than you are.
Huge respect, what a role model and an awesome mum and woman. Standing up to a bully with care, consideration and kindness. You rock! 🤩
Standing up to bullying is difficult but needs to be done. No one should be treated like this so well done. I hope you both stay strong
Take care and stay safe both of you
As a survivor of bullying at school and mental and physical abuse at home, I can relate. My heart and prayers go out to both of you.
Report them to the CRT.
You said "Sorry it's not a nice video" but I must say that you were so nice and also inspirational
Thanks 😀
Hi Fiona,
From my comfy central heated living equipped with all the unnecessary electronic nonsense you can think of, I do realize that narrow boating not only is fun.
I'm a bit disappointed that people do not understand that you did not choose to be stuck on one place and it's nice to see that narrow boaters in general help each other whenever needed.
All the best from the Netherlands.
Good for you. You have offered solutions to accommodate everyone. Bullying is NOT acceptable. You are a great example for Emma and for all of us. 😀❤️😀
Please dont stop her videos, even if it's just a day in her life as a continue boater, your raising a good girl mum.
School can be a hard place for children and I am so sorry that happened to you. Fiona and Emma ❤️
Stay safe.
You’re amazing and so is your daughter. Thanks for providing such a great example of how to deal with bullies 💕
Name and shame. That is the only way to deal with this type of bully.
Well done,, stand your ground, they already have a mooring, some people are so self centered, best wishes, stay safe and stay put...
As a parent (and now a grand parent), I have to commend you Fiona on your great parenting, and the way you have handled this in a firm yet loving way.
You are right it is quite a noisy location 😀
You are very kind, decent and honest person. Really sorry to hear you’ve been subjected to such harassment. Hope it gets resolved.
Geez. Every neighborhood has a few clowns I suppose. Good luck. Hold fast.
I think Emma's mum ,came over very well. Feel sorry for you both to have to put up with cretins. Well done for standing up for yourself.
Good for you standing your ground! No justice, no peace. Stay strong
Also, if their attitude is this bad with another boater then letting the other people in the boating community know about them is not naming and shaming, it's just fair warning 😎
Good on you for not letting the obnoxious git get his way 😁
Good for you standing up to that bully! The problem is with him and he probably goes through life with this attitude. Sending warm hugs x
For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”
Isaiah 41: 11-13
Merry Christmas, mum! There are complete strangers praying for you! Thank you for raising such a great kid, stay strong and safe, and God bless you both!
Amen 😀
You're 100% in the right, Fiona, and those types of people need to avoid the people who are legitimately allowed to be there... Keep standing up and be accounted for!!
Fiona, so sad to read this, and well done you for sharing this. It is not acceptable. Love to Emma and yourself and hope this awful problem is soon over. Take care and best wishes for Christmas xx
We all stand behind you, any kind of bullying should not be accepted on our waterways but especially this kind and from other boaters who should know better. Great channel and keep up the superb work !
I am pleased you made this video. People need to be more understanding. No one should be shouting, should be discussing things like adults.
