DPF cleaning, how do i clean DPF

Sorry i don't understand why he did that because the DPF light wasn't on only the engine light was on??

you get it hot enough to burn the soot away.... it causes the soot to crack up and go into a powder then burn inside, leaving openings for exhaust to flow through..........
