When it comes to investment, diversification is key. That is why I have my interests set on key sectors based on performance and projected growth. They range from the EV sector, renewable energy, Tech, and Health.

Most times it amazes me greatly the way I noved from an average lifestyle to earning over 63k per month, utter shock is the word. I have understood a lot in the past few years to doubt that opportunities abound in the financial markets, The only thing is to know where to focus.

You might not have a hundred million dollars to invest, but that doesn’t mean your money can’t share in the same opportunities available to others. You work hard for your money; make sure your money works hard for you.

The wealth you pass to the next generation can have a profound impact on your heirs, providing educational opportunities, the capital to start a business, or financial support to your grandchildren.

To manage investment risk, consider maintaining a broad diversification of your investments that reflects your personal risk tolerance, time horizon, and the nature of your financial goal. Remember, diversification is an approach to help manage investment risk. It does not eliminate the risk of loss if security prices decline.Because investing can be complicated, consider working with a financial professional to help guide you on your wealth-building journey.

I am building up my cash bucket heading into retirement in 5 or 6 years. I am currently using US Treasury I Bonds as the mechanism for that at the moment because it is such a bargain for pre-retirees. Having the guarantee to keep up with CPI inflation in a bond is a no brainer at the moment, along with the guarantee of principal is a great comfort.

I have funds in multiple accounts and don’t want to consolidate due to tax reasons. What is the best way to get a consolidated view of my portfolio and distribution across small, value, large etc? Thx.

Gentlemen ... thank you for this thoughtful discussion re: the "accumulators", the pre-retiree & the retiree ideas. For those who have concerns with downside loss, what do you think of the newer ETF's with embedded insurance (or downside risk hedging) such as SPD ... S&P500 with 2% downside insurance via PUTs. Thoughts? I realize the cost for the fund is higher than a pure S&P ETF, but it includes the "feel better" insurance component. I just mentioned SPD, but there are others that are similar but offer different PUT %'s.

For me the biggest problem I face, is the constant noise going on about what the latest and greatest portfolio should be. I spent hours every day for the last year and studying reading and watching videos. There really is a great bunch of information out there. I have this Insidious fear that I'm going to pick a portfolio and asset allocation that I'm going to regret.... how do you guys become confident in your portfolio. Any ideas or thoughts would be wonderful

I realize I am never going to pick the perfect portfolio. My portfolio has been invested for 30 years in low-cost index funds. It is 75 percent value with a heavy dose of small cap value and 25 percent growth with a significant dose of technology, such as AI. I re-invest the dividends. So, when the market is down I am buying more shares with the dividends. The portfolio zigs and zags over time with some sectors underperforming and other sectors overperforming, and vice versa. But, over time, the portfolio has increased significantly.

Some elaboration on reasons for deferring capital gains in a taxable brokerage account for as long as possible would be interesting. Is it really best to pay the bulk of the gains when
you die or move to a different country?

The concept of a target date fund in retirement is uncomfortable. I would rather have a basket apples than a jar of apple sauce.
