Much more amicable comments than on the Mike Bird interview. ;-)

It's really great to hear men talking about mutuality!

I’m in America. I pray these truths can be spread to the US and churches can change.

This is such an important conversation, am hearing from so many gifted women who feel ignored and sidelined in Indian churches

The most common question I've been asked when I mention we are an egalitarian couple is 'so what do you do when you can't agree? Who makes the decision?'. It's great you point out that should be a very rare occurrence. If a couple are diverse in approaches, that should provide wider perspectives on everything. In any relationship, it is our ability to resolve conflict that determines the strength and sustainability of that relationship. Being able to verbally spar together without feeling threatened, but rather listened to and valued is more to do with our personal sense of security. Healthy debate can be stimulating and enjoyable and it shows our ability to listen and respect /honour eachother...

Even most patriarchalists in America are not that looney.

Maybe she meant does her husband let her drive when he is also in the car? I have noticed that when some couples drive together, husbands don't want their wives to drive them. Perhaps it's some perception of control or habit. Not sure. I do see it more commonly among older couples, though!
