Why is the steering wheel on the wrong side ?

This is a very common question, unlike cars, boats do not have a specific side that the helm needs to be on. The helm sides can change depending on how the layout works best for the boats.

@@RMarineJonesRivieraQueensland hi ok. But in boating you drive on the left of the waterways like we do roads here in Australia. And the steering wheel is on the right for ease. I think the right side steering wheel would be better for manoeuvring?
