I listen to Mel podcast regularly. I have loved her since her talk show yrs ago. She’s amazing. So glad you got to expose your audience to her.
Omg. I watched and still do watch the bachelor with people (my kids yrs ago) for things “not to do” as well.
I use many older seasons as a guideline for picking out all of the unacceptable behavior to look out for in my relationships.

This was such an amazing episode! What a charge. I have so many ideas and feel so free from worrying about the outcome- more time and energy put into getting me to just do it and then Let Them! Thanks Mel and Kaitlyn

What a awesome intense interview Kaitlyn! So many things you both were discussing and the insecurities and how to walk yourself out of it I've been dealing with half my life. I started really changing last year and I am now 63.
I have learned don't look around you look straight ahead and never look behind just keep going

Kaitlyn, at the end you talked about the sadness you feel about the fact that your dogs will die before you and I wanted to share something that might bring you comfort. Recently, my beloved Spiffy, my tuxedo cat that I adopted at 22, crossed the rainbow bridge. My 11 year old daughter grew to adore him and they slept together every night. He had a special connection to her and as the days passed, and I knew the end was near, I shared that our time was coming to a close with him. The tears poured and we cried together. Then I looked at her and said, “my beautiful girl, we can grieve him now and grieve him later, or we can enjoy him now and leave the grieving for later. Why do it twice? Let’s go play with him.” I hope this sentiment brings you peace so as to not rob yourself of today as you think about tomorrow. ❤

Im 27 mins in and holding back my tears.
I needed this push and Mels voice. Im the type of gal whose a realist and needs the no BS talks. Give it to me how it is. My life has been full of trials since i was a baby and i never let things get to my optimistic mindset UNTIL 2022 when my journey to my career felt like it was just slapped out of my hands- i had been working years to get to- and it felt like i was just Gods puppet to laught at.
2+ yrs later im getting back on my feet and telling myself there is room for me. Go for my dreams if if they fail, ill at least know i tried. This failure was just some big lesson(s) that i can take w me.
Okay, going to finish the podcast, but THANKYOU MEL for your voice of reason, love and hope.❤

I love the very end about impact vs intent. Explaining that to my ex was impossible. Literally. I acknowledged while i didn’t intend to do certain things, the impact was that It still hurt. While he intentionally did hurtful things. But yeah, he couldn’t comprehend. He was abusive and is. Anyway, loved this whole podcast. I am one who got a tattoo about 8 months ago saying “let them”. Now i am considering adding “let me”. Also, 30 days after an abusive relationship isn’t enough to cleanse someone like that out of your system. But yes, It will trigger you again, it’s like an addiction, that’s why it’s so hard. It’s a literal addiction, it’s changed and altered your brain and chemicals in your body. It’s hard. Thank you for this podcast! Love It, truly and enjoyed It!
