For making herbs into sigil work: I like to make my own paper (with a blender, not from scratch) and include seeds into it, so I not only incorporate the herb, but I can charge the sigil by burying it, and I'll have a plant. Love you, Olivia, and Wonderlust Coven!

You were like "there's a thing called zoom" little did we know that a few months later that would be our form of interaction
A member of my extended family who was so revered that she was treated rather like a living saint taught me the rudiments of sigil magic when I was very young. (She died when I was 6) She never used the word sigil, to her they were "blessed prayers". She was watching me scrawl on some paper one day and asked I ever wrote prayers to the Angel's. I said no and she sat down beside me and taught me first about four of the Archangels, what they guarded us from and what things could be very humbly requested of these four entities. Never a selfish request she said, only matters of protection falling into the various realms of protection assigned the four. She taught me about a dozen symbols, like probably three or four for each Archangel. The fluid movements of her symbols and the small, very particular embellishments that made each one special made a huge impression on me alas, I only remember two and have used them at different times in my life for personal protection. As I have grown older and learned the other Archangels and their realms of control it all made sense to me. I would give anything to remember not only the rest those sigils but so many other things that she would say to me now again. In my maturing, I began realize that she was giving me rootwork instructions. She told me that I would need these prayers later in life. She also told me that I was special to the Angels, I will never know if this was just what one says to a young child as they are certainly all special to the Angel's or if she meant that I had potential as a rootworker, I am now trying very hard to figure this out. Sorry to be so verbose.
Have you thought to look through her belongings? I'm sure her family has a diary or art work that once belonged to her hidden somewhere, especially if she was revered. It's also a good idea to allow your sigils to come from you, so that they're more connected to you. Maybe use the 2 sigils that you have from her, or possibly look into angelic sigils online for inspiration, such as the Angelic Celestial Alphabet, the Enochian Script, or Zibu Symbols.

The fact that you pursue "this" is evidence that you're indeed not a "baby in all of this". We have many different ages, for instance, your breath sustains your physical life force, but a breath is only here for a moment before it's depleted and gone, a heartbeat pushes your bodies living energy along but a single pulse lasts only a fraction of a second, a thought motivates you for the rest of your life, then the thought instantly becomes just a memory. You're born with a spirit in your body, that was spawn long before your body was conceived. Your disposition on subjects relative to the spirit, is directly related to the spirit. As a human with a mind you think thoughts, based on what your mind has learned. As a being with a spirit, your disposition on spiritual matters comes from the lessons your spirit has learned. It's very rare that young spirits are fascinated with subjects such as this, young spirits usually play no role in the fascination of their host, they are most often idle observers privvy to ignorance and being led into false doctrines until they witness their beloved host suffer and become a casualty of this world. Eventually the spirit learns to stand out and be seen, heard, and felt. This is when a spirit begins to awaken and begins to learn it's own power. The fact that you are here and you are intrigued proves you are no "baby" in this. Hold your head up, step with confidence, you are ready ❤

Watching this in June 2020 and hearing the phrase "oh yeah there's this thing called Zoom" was surreal.
Grind the herbs into a really fine powder and put a small amount into the ink you'll be using. Or make a ritual oil from the herbs and add a few drops to the ink or use the oil in a 5 spot pattern on the paper after drawing the sigil.
I love making my own ink! You can make ink in pretty much any color and out of anything! I like the book Make Ink: A Forager's Guide to Natural Inkmaking by Jason Logan to get started. Ink made from herbs and intention is so good for sigil magic.
I've met this author. She tours and does like classes on her books. She's really cool.
I got the sigil box and am loving it. I haven't gotten used to using the quill, yet, but it is still gorgeous. Perfect for my altar.

OMFG (oh my flipping goodness) I'm so in love with that box set! Man I wish I had the extra cash to get that one. I am literally like just dumbfounded at how much I love that pen set and the book, I actually just picked up birdock and eucalyptus aling with sage. I made my mom a sage tea bcuz it is actually good doe hot flashes in women with menopause yes ma'am

You can get glass pens to, so that adds even more depth to the process. So cool, I would have never thought of also thinking about ink content.
I watch a lot of subscription boxes unboxing and some of them are really nice, but this is the first one that if I bought I would be really surprised, it's amazing! So useful items and it also includes a great book wow
Door sigils are a home protection staple. Windows are good to hit, too.
One way I like to use herbs with sigils is to have a piece of parchment or cloth to draw the sigil on and add small bits of herbs to it and other items for the spell and close it up with string or sew it shut or just fold it shut and you end up with a little spell package.

Oh man, I wish I had been able to get this box. I looooove working with sigils and that pen is amazingly pretty!
Maybe for herbs and sigils, you could make a powder with the herbs and write your sigils on paper and burn the herb powder and paper together in a cauldron in some sort of ritual. Or steeping the herbs and sigil paper could work somehow. I loved this video! Thank you, Olivia!

Dear Olivia,
Types of ink formulas are based on the mix used to make inks, the dove's blood for example it is based on dragons blood and witch hazel this is used for love, self-love, and so on. Then you have the curse and hexes made with charcoal and a type of infused alcohol some people call it bats blood. When you make your own ink you have a resin or charcoal, you can make ink from any organic material, you need a solvent and a binding agent as well as a preservative so, for example, dissolve dragons blood in witch hazel add a few drops of diluted (alcohol-based benzoin) as the preservative. When you make your inks with intention and you charge them your sigils are long-lasting and more powerful. 🌛❤🌜
The quill pen, bibs, pen stand, and ink bottle set is available pretty economically on AliExpress or Wish. I have this set with a turquoise feather, and it’s gorgeous! (Just FYI for anyone who doesn’t have the coin to get this entire Witches Box).

In my solo I have realized sigils tattooed on the body have an extremely different impact on ones being than a picture. The sigil is an open port hole and it’s a forever connection and energy. I wish there was more discussion about that. 😉

My magic really loves sigils, except it calls them ciphers or talismans, and just your videos in general make my magic really happy. Like it starts humming and swirling and it gets really calm and focused with your vids. Your vids are helpful to me bc it settles my magic as well as always teaching me new things. I love this box!!! I recently bought a feather pen and some homemade ink from a fellow witch I met, and I'm writing in my BoS with it because it's so cool and feels so old-timey and witchy haha! I will have to try it for sigils too! I was thinking to myself how carpal tunnel affected people in the 1800s, and if anyone was ever so annoyed at how many times they had to dip their pen in the ink as well LOL. I love this though, I love when I get a box like this that comes in a little package deal style, like all the tools you need + a book to get you started! I so appreciate that! Love it.

I I usually dab the sigil with the appropriate oil and sprinkle powder herbs where I dabbed oil . Then burn the sigil

The bird attracting sigil magick is of interest & angel sigils for protection, invoking/evoking & spiritual guidance during my contemplation/meditations. I also have a personal sigil that looks similar to the eye of Horus combined with a triskele & I’ve been learning some Tagalog & writing it in the Baybayin alphabet that has a swirly part (~) I surprisingly use often & letters that look like hearts & brokenhearts.

Love your videos. They help me a lot. The way I use herbs in sigil making, is I pour a bit of the ink into a little bottle or bowl and ad herbs to the ink that aligns with the intention. Mix it up a bit let it soak for a minute and then begin writing. 💜

I burn the herbs and let the smoke stream around the sigils.
You should try making spelled ink! Save your ashes from burning incense or old spell work, combine that with ground herbs with the intentions you want to carry out, and a colorant (I love charcoal dust) and you've got ink. I usually charge mine under the moon, as well as put my own intentions into it as well, but it can sometimes add just a little oomf to your sigils.
