- For this tutorial, the song is played slowly and without the use of a sustain pedal, and elements such as tempo and dynamics aren't discussed. This is just MY VERSION, so some of the chords aren't the same as in the actual song! In addition, the chord names depicted also don't entirely line up to the exact notes that I'm playing to avoid over-complicating things. The last section is somewhat improvised. Overall, like with any cover, don't be afraid to put your own spin on it!!

Thank you so much for this. This is one of my favorite TI songs, and your piano arrangement is simply wonderful. Just a joy to listen to, and I'm astounded by your ability to incorporate the bass line, rhythm, and melody all in one single composition. I'm a synth player who needs to up his keyboard dexterity and syncopation, so this is a perfect challenge for me. Again, I can't explain how grateful I am you posted this. Keep up the great work!

Currently trying to learn this, almost have the first half down. It's kind of hard though when you have no idea what those notes mean haha.
DetoPie Hey that's awesome! The chord names look weird, but they actually aren't too complicated to play. If it just says a plain note, like G, it just means the major chord in that key. If it has a lower case m next to it, like Em, it means the minor chord. A lower case b next to a note means it's flat. Next, I'll break down "Bbmaj7." So Bb just means B-flat. Maj7 means major 7th, and all it really is is the major chord with 1 extra note that is a half step down from being an octave of B-flat (which is A in this case). The notes that make up Bbmaj7 are B-flat, D, F, and A. (B-flat, D, and F make up the Bb major chord, and the A is the major 7th, no matter what octave it's played in.)
As for Ebmaj7, that chord is made up of E-flat, G, B-flat, and D. And as for Gbmaj7, it is made up of G-flat, B-flat, D-flat, and F. Any chords may be inverted. Here is a really useful site for learning chords: www.8notes.com/piano_chord_chart/bbmaj7.asp. Hope this all makes sense :p
