I used the same fence puller at our last house. My friends laugh about it. Didn't have a tractor. Rolled it by hand and stretched with come a long.

Happy * Happy * Happy! ;) Danny, we needed this kind of quality video on fencing back in the day when we tried to do our first farm fencing! Everything you do is excellent my brother & sister. I was thinking....this pasture couldn't be any prettier or perfect for cattle. They love to scratch and when they've worn the bottom branches down it's going to give them perfect shade in the hot summers. You just can't find this kind of cattle land cheap and often...it is precious. If I didn't love you guys so much, I'd be jealous...but you have been blessed so well & so faithful to God and worked hard...beyond hard...you deserve this paradise! Watching those beautifully conditioned happy cattle - a real investment for the days ahead for sure. Danny, I wish all men worked as hard as you do - and I look forward to seeing Pecan Grove become home. I hope all the young bucks out there trying to build a homestead find your channel and begin to see what an amazing man you are. I like the way you put the rebar in.
One might not realize how the cows rub on the fence and can loosen everything.
I like how you rigged up the hook and took that fence all the way to where you wanted it.
With so much fencing this is a brilliant idea. And the way you tightened it up is so right on.
So funny watching the cows explore and run around. They seem to really like playing in the trees.
They just have such character about them.

Transitions always are a rough time. I think we will be severe as we go into hurricane season this year @@pecangrovems
@@pecangrovems Still need more time on that one. When we switch to La nina, the jet stream will be coming from a neutral phase, from the Great lakes. So I think it will pull strong from the South. I believe we will have hurricane season starting on time and not early, but strong as it starts and lasting late for this season.
@@weathermanplus I've kinda been feeling the same way about what coming. With the geomagnetic fields relaxing it has me a little worried.

We nailed our fence to a board really good and pulled the board with a come a long.

I’ll never forget the half Brahma and half Holstein cow we had when I was a kid. She was onery and mean and would try to hook you with her horns. I remember we were in a bad drought and my dad had to sell off all forty head of cows. Half wild south Texas brush country cattle. We had the cows penned up and were driving them into the loading chute. Well that cow refused to go into the chute. Every time we’d get her to go towards the chute she’d turn at the last minute and she didn’t care she’d come straight at whoever was standing there. She even tried to jump the seven foot tall corral. Well my dad had had enough of her after about the fifth time of her pulling her antics so he picked up a metal pipe and when she tried her antics again he hit her in the head with that pipe and dropped her. We all thought he’d killed her but after about fifteen minutes of laying there she got up and walked right into the loading chute. On another note, I used to hate taking a stick and digging the screw worms out of a calf’s naval. Sometimes those worms would look like a row of corn kernels packed in the navel. After removing them we would pack the naval with that black screw worm medicine. Thank God the screw worm fly was eradicated.

I don't remember what my grandpa had for unrolling woven wire but it was as simple as your rig. It worked off of the three point on his Ford Jubilee.

Looks like you've built a fence or two in your lifetime. Excellent job. I'm just an old city boy but I love the country and would give anything to be in your shoes. I'm to old and broke down now to do much of anything but watch TH-cam, maybe in the next life. That calf looks like he needs some peers to play with, so nice to be young even in the animal world. Have you tried it? Line the edge of your 2x4"s up with a vertical wire on the fence and clamp tight.

Danny Thank You for the tips on stretching the fencing. We're getting ready to put up fencing at our country property. Could you please put some links to the equipment you bought for making the homemade chain to string up the fencing with the tractor? It would be extremely helpful in our quest to put our fencing up. We have lots of fencing to put up. I can only hope our fencing turns out as wonderful as your fencing does. The cows sure were enjoying their new paddock. Those babies sure are adorable running around playing. Thank You again for the tips on stretching fencing. I'm afraid that our area is expecting some terrible storms this season. We're in the process of finishing our move, getting things put away and secure for tornado season here. From what all our local farmers are saying that this storm season is going to be a bad one for us. We can only hope that we don't get large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. We sure need the rain we're getting over the next couple of days. My busy season is getting ready to start trying to keep the property maintained. Hopefully we'll have breaks in the rain so I am able to keep the grass cut. Last year the ticks were horrible. Just a small amount of time outside in the yard often found us picking several ticks off us. Looking forward to seeing the finished paddock's. Much Love from our family to your family 💞

Great idea for running fence! All we ever used was barbed wire, 3 strabds or 4, and electric wire across the top of needed. And a strand of electric wire down low for pigs! They hit that electric wite with their nose they dont tens to want out so bad! They had tjeir fenced area around , above and below a small rock cliff area inside the big pasture. We had rattlesnakes and pigs are the Best at killing them! To watch one snap that snake back and forth and kill it is something to see!
