    Beautiful video and thank you so much for your insights! What components does liquid spill really affect and which one should I go to check first? I have my acer aspire that died after liquid spill.

      First, you should locate where exactly the liquid is spilled and do a visual inspection.
      Second, check the charge IC and the SIO.

    I would imagine that you would want to eliminate the possibility that the issue is the primary drive, the main battery and the power switch much earlier than you suggest since the power button is a moving part, and both the battery and main storage device are almost always fairly easy to replace. Most ram is soldered to the motherboard in laptops these days.

    Hi, in your diagram how does a diode protect as I see that only fuse seems to be protecting MB you drew on the right. Thanks

    • @electronicsrepairbasics_erb
      @electronicsrepairbasics_erb  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The fuse is enough to protect the motherboard, but the diode can be used also for protection when we connect its anode to the ground and its cathode to the power rail.

    What about the processor power supply coils with low resistance?

    • @electronicsrepairbasics_erb
      @electronicsrepairbasics_erb  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very good question,
      The low resistance is for the processor that's normal. Remove the processor and you will get a high resistance.

    Sir , can you help me ? my niece was using her laptop on her bed , and I think she accidentaly obstructed the air vent , her laptop shut off with the blue screen and the messages , but she didn't mind it and restarted the laptop . a few minutes after the laptop shut off again . she called me and I noticed the laptop was too hot , I would say 80 or 85 degre celcius . we waited for the laptop to cool down , and restarted it , the fan was spining , but no system boot , no pictures at all . I though maybe the cpu died from the overheat , I ordered another one , but the laptop won't start . Which components to check in the case of a laptop who died because of overheat ? I've checked the motherboard and there's some kind of melted red past that spilled from below the chipset chip , could it be the problem ? I found nobody dealing with that matter on the internet

      Hi there,
      The failure is 100% clear.
      The graphic card( GMCH ) is the failed component in your case.

    Can you lower your tone (your voice is too deep) I think, (I don't understand well).
