Cool video. I’ve flown AA’s 787-8 and 787-9 in both Business Class and Economy Class. All the experiences were awesome! Some of the best AA flights I’ve ever flown!

I flew on a 787-9 LHR-ORD, business class. First time in My life I slept on a plane, for 4hrs. It was a great flight
Love the view of the city lights while in the air.
I flown 787-8 from Chicago to Shanghai on business it was a great experience when on the plane, there was a 12 hr delay that day, had to wait for the plane coming from China, I’ll be flying a 787-9 from Dallas to Madrid on economy so this video gives me a pretty good idea. Thanks

on my last 787 flight from DFW to ORD, the FO was female and when we landed in ORD, it was a similar landing to what you had. The captain came on the mic and said, please dont blame the girl, that was my landing. LOL

I flew one of these to Mexico.. the air quality was great and also didn’t have much ear popping etc.. pretty good experience over all.
the carbon fiber build allows for a lower pressure interior, or so ive heard.
Flew on an AA 787-9 from DFW-ORD a couple weeks ago, although impressive and pretty cool, it was extremely crammed.

I love the bridges that you have to go across when taxing at DFW Airport. I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and have flown out of there many times.
I like visiting Dallas-Fort Worth airport. While waiting for a connecting flight I like to explore the airport and it's shops. Also using the skylink train to see the planes and support personal on the tarmac.
That is so cool. I've flown out of DFW many many times and I always love it when you get a runway on the opposite side, like the A orC gates but gotta go to 18L. Same with ORD and JFK and a bunch of others.

In 2018 I flew on a brand new 787-8 delivered a week earlier, smelled like a new car.

lots of humidity in LA so it does fog up. Flew a United 787-9 LAX-NRT 3 wks ago. Thought the flight was very noisy-HVAC noise

Have you had the chance to fly on UA's 787-10 yet? Also, I've flown AA's 787-8 in Business Class on DFW-ORD and back. The 788 I flew on had a few rear facing seats in the front of the cabin, and it was a rather interesting experience. You won't get much time to appreciate the lie-flat seats on a domestic short-hop (by 787 standards), but they're pretty awesome. I'm actually flying in Business on a 787-9 on LAX-DFW later this summer and I'm really excited about it.
wow that landing was harsh, that hurt. The landing gear better have gotten an inspection after that.
American has the worst reputation in terms of delaying and cancelling flights. Hopefully I won't have to experience that when I fly with them for the first time in a few weeks.

Steven Hill 31 inches of pitch and 17,2 inches wide seats makes this cabin one of the cramped long haul cabins.
I’ve been on a 12 hour flight with the LCC Norwegian, they also have 31 pitch and 17,2 wide seats.
Not much room for your legs when the seat in front of you recline, and on a long haul flight everybody recline their seat all the time.
Yeah... I have the luck of being 5'8" (well, depends how you look at it) and while I was never touching the seat in front of me, I was millimeters away from doing so. So yeah I'd say these seats may be a just a tad bit too cramped. Unless you are able to avoid these 787 configurations, you'll prolly need to get an exit row or MCE/Premium economy for a comfortable experience.
Small explanation as to why u were probably delayed although the aircraft was in the hangar, usually its because maintenance ops dont get to domestic aircraft first, as you know many aircraft can be in hangars at one time or needing to go into the hangar, so usually the first flights that are repaired are the intl and intl long hauls and then the longer dom flights thennnn they would get to ur aircraft which was scheduled for a short 2 hour hop, american tends to usually do this only in larger hubs since more aircraft require maintenance in bigger hubs hence why dfw tends to have the most delayed aal flights as it is their largest hub... ANYWAY nice video always enjoy them! THANKS FOR UPLOADING!!!!!
P.s this flight isnt scheduled to leave until later the next day which is why they put the maintenance off

I just flew on the 787-9 dreamliner a week ago from LAX-DFW in First Class. I do want to try the Economy Prouduct on the Dreamliner and the Premium Economy. Prouduct too!
American just announced that they will be flying 787-9 from Seattle to Bangalore,India non-stop. It would be a true ultra-long-haul. Cant wait to get on it!

@@kenprice1961 well..a lot of us travel on these long hauls in economy on the regular - many times in a middle seat. It is not as bad as you think. Few movies, food and sleep.
I wonder if it's a fee to watch the movies on the plane? I'll be flying on this plane from Chicago to Honolulu in August 2022.
All movies in the screen are free, the only entertainment related thing you have to pay extra for is wifi.
I have not flown a 787 I would like to some day!

I only see the Main Cabin on my flight map. Mine is an international flight. Asia to North America/ USA. It’s an 14 hour flight.

Flown a 787-9 to London couple months ago, wasn’t special legroom was average it was meh
American Airlines should change their cabin color pallets a red blue or the silver that they use on their livery would b epic

Those kind of maintenance delays are common on AA. The mechanics purposely slow things down because of years of unsuccessful negotiations.
And the airline has made absolutely no effort to fix the problem.

Maintenance is not striking, on strike or delaying planes as the company is misleading the public into believing.
Had the flight taken off on time, maybe there would’ve been a little daylight? 🤔

This is a 787-9, the 787-8 will have the same economy class seats, the only difference being the cabin being slightly shorter. But no major difference

Now try flying AA 737-800 "oasis" in cattle class on a packed flight. I vote MIA-LAS when school is out. Or DFW-LAS on a weekend.
Those "oasis" layout planes put me off AA until they fire their ex-Us-Airways CEO. Worst flying experience I've ever had.

Im not a fan of how quiet it is on the 78. You can hear babies crying so much more clearly!! Even riding in business class I find it annoying to be able to listen to people's conversations.
