I hope everyone enjoys the movie. It's my least favorite in the franchise hands down, I was not surprised by anything especially the reveals. Sorry if this upsets scream fans but I'm just being honest.

I never thought about it before, but seeing Olivia's death right before Tatum's made me realize that when Sid tells Jill "Do not look", it's 'cause she knows what's like to find your best friend's dead body... so heartbreaking "/

The look on Kirby's face when she realizes that Ghostface is actually in Olivia's closet still gives me chills. Hayden really sold it.
Hayden is an icon. I love her so much as Kirby, she is such an amazing actress.

Another fun fact about selling face looks the guy who plays Kenny, gales cameraman in scream 1, he sold the surprise on his face so well during his death apparently the rating board in America demanded it be cut in the film

Dewey’s death left me in tears for practically the rest of the movie because I grown to love the character so much and I’d been so used to him being stabbed and miraculously surviving the seeing him get brutally stabbed and dying was heartbreaking for me to watch. Dewey and Randy’s deaths are the two deaths I can never rewatch again without tearing up 🥺

Dewey’s death was the saddest for me because he was one of my favorite characters. Thankfully Sidney and Gale avenged him
Dewey's was sad for sure, but Casey's will always be the saddest for me. She was killed literally FEET away from her parents and she couldn't even yell for them

@superKlintendo'sworld He’s not supposed to be relatable. He’s basically an embodiment of death in the shape of the man, like how in the real world we can die at any given moment and totally at random. Michael is that fear in the shape of a man. And just like death never stops coming for you Michael doesn’t either. Just like death itself. It’s going to happen. It’s inevitable. Michael is that fate in the shell of a human. He’s much more interesting and mysterious than people give him credit for. He’s definitely not as one note as people may believe. The sequels did that to the character not the first movie. Which is why my second favorite is Halloween 3 because it’s entirely original.
But yeah I think Rob Zombie doing what he did was misunderstanding the entire basis of the character in which he’s really not even a human even though he looks like one
@superKlintendo'sworld When did I ever argue that. I’m not even talking about the franchise here. I’m talking about the first Halloween movie and how Michael is in that. Just like Freddy was changed after the first Elm Street movie. A lot of these I judge the character off the first movie. But yeah I agree with you that Scream and Child’s Play are EASILY the most consistent Horror franchises. Won’t dispute that

Dude that's why scream is my favorite horror franchise shit like Friday the 13th and Halloween are good but not believable at all ik scream makes it where shit works but nothing is stopping a dude or dudes from putting on a mask and robe and running around killing people

The Scream movies are something special. Normally one would get tired of watching the protagonists fight the same killer over and over using the same plans but whether this is part of the franchise's metafiction appeal or not, you just never get tired of watching Ghostface kill over the same motives over and over.

Dragged into a news van, smashed into the windows of said news van multiple times, stabbed in the chest 4 times then getting his throat slit. Everything about it was brutal.

Also, the new movie whole pitch and Watchmojo’s for them is that this one is more brutal and terrifying because it’s in the city that never sleep aka you can be killed while people gather and party around you!

Olivia Morris kill scene is honestly one of my favorite kills in the franchise. I just thought it was so brutal and savage that Ghostface killed her literally with the cops being nearby, and her friends only being able to just watch in horror as Ghostface brutalized and stabbed her multple times. I also love Casey and Tatum brutal kills.

that one in the 4th was where i told myself ' that ghostface isnt just playing ' it was so brutal, beating her up, stabbing alot, blood everywhere and Showing her to kirby and jill, it was just insane and ' different '
That scene with Kirby and Jill watching is terror really gave a flood of doubt that Jill was the killer. It made the big reveal even more shocking.

Eh I feel like nothing is more painful and savage than Olivia being aggressively stabbed again and again, I still think her death is by far more brutal. However Anika is very painful too tho and she was so close to escaping :(

Casey's death is so iconic.
No one expected Drew Barrymore's character to be killed and in such a very brutal way. Stabbed in the chest, larynx crushed by attempted strangulation, stabbed multiple times and gutted only to be hung from a tree.
What makes Casey’s death even more frightening is the real life brutal criminal case on which it was inspired! 😰 just fills me with dread every time

@@alessandrajackson3768 no it was the case of Danny Rolling, the Gainesville ripper. He killed 5 university students over 4 days in Florida in 1990, and his victims were horrifically brutalized. His crimes inspired Kevin Williamson to write the script for the first Scream film

Scream (2022) -she was stabbed but survived
Scream 6 -a woman played by Samara Weaving died, the killer revealed himself but then died by the real killer

The saddest, & most horrifying part about Maureen's death in the opening scene of Scream 2 is that no one in that packed movie theatre even notices that she's being killed until she gets in front of the movie screen because so many of them are in ghostface costumes and playing with prop knives, they all just think it's two people joking around. Also of all the deaths in the franchise, Dewey's death was the most tragic, & the one that hurts the most (his death hurt even more then Randy's death in Scream 2 did). I cried when Gale sees the police bringing Dewey's body out.

When Casey's mom screams it still gives me the chills, her scream is awesome !!! I hate when Jada's character dies, the audience didn't even realize what was happening, it was really unsettling. Also, when Sarah Michelle's character dies it was awful, brutal and violent.
The character Dewey Riley didn’t deserve to be killed, him and other victims were avenged at the end of the 5th ‘Scream’ installment.
Just A Peaceful Mortal Who’s Born in 1980’s OA definitely I knew Dewey was gonna be in this list but I was hoping him to be at number one still Casey’s death was even more tragic.

I remember when I first saw scream 1996 in 2021 I said out loud "that was the best first 13 minutes of a movie that i've ever seen." I truly had never seen something so brutal yet so captivating happen dead smack in the beginning of a movie.

Fun fact: During the officer Richards death scene they used a dummy and the pole was supposed go through the dummys shoulder, not head. Wes really liked the headshot so he kept it.
Casey’s death is one of if not the most iconic scene in horror movie history. From the flirting, to the game then ultimately her death it’s nuts; by far the saddest scene in the entire franchise. Her parents finding her hanging and gutted from their tree in the front yard is heart breaking. The rest of the film is a comedy but that scene is nuts.

I’ve been a Scream fan since I was a teen.
The thing that I hate about Dewey's death isn't that he died. I mean, it's incredibly sad. He's my favorite, for Pete's sake! But the thing that angers me is the fact that he was so stupid and careless as to allow himself to be distracted by his phone. He, of all people, knew better than to take his focus off of Ghostface. If the writers were determined to kill Dewey off in this one, they could have taken a different route. It would have been better if Ghostface had come up behind Dewey as he was walking down the hallway.
Steve (Casey's boyfriend) should have been in the Honorable Mentions instead of Tyson.
I will say this about Jada, after having spent the past 6 years as a first responder, she nailed that death scene. Thats pretty much how it really looks when someone finally lets go.

Randy Meeks (played by Jamie Kennedy) was brutally murdered by Debbie, Billy’s vengeful mom over the insult to Billy Loomis from the 1st ‘Scream’ movie.
Randy should have lived, he was never getting with Sidney but he deserved to live.
@@Lsaldana92 I agree, it would’ve been nice to see him get past Sidney if he had lived to see scream 3, let him be like a gaffer on stab 3 or another buffer like Dewey providing the movie insight, he could’ve even maybe made a movie- his death is still the most painful for me, even more than Dewey’s, at least Dewey got to live a full life, get the girl, and be the hero- he even redeemed himself for failing to save Tatum when he saves Tara, Randy was just 19, 20 tops and was left alone left to fend for himself and wasn’t just killed in broad daylight but killed in public, and he wasn’t even the target- the killer called Gale’s phone, his story is so tragic!

@isaac crist I would like think he became the teacher that is the high school film club in Scream 4 and his kids were just watching laying low during Scream 5 because they would he in trouble if they revealed themselves like their cousins did.
How did Dewey’s death ONLY get 5th place? That’s definitely top 3. Casey started it all and her parents finding her body they way they did definitely takes the top spot but Dewey was a beloved Legacy Character he deserved better than being 5th. His death sat with me longer than all the others.

Him being a legacy character just hits the nail on the coffin for me, in my opinion, as to why he deserves top 3. Again this is just my opinions. I could honestly care less really about anyone else’s kills. Dewey has been attacked multiple times throughout the franchise, so seeing him go out KNOWING he was meant to double tap the killer by a headshot really just made it more brutal for me. He got distracted & that obviously got the best of him. That is all I meant by this, it’s not really nostalgic for me

It was inspired by a guy who got a bar through his brain, he got himself to hospital and the doctor said he should be dead, the bar was removed and he lived and kept the bar and had pictures taken with it

Best scene was Drew Barrymore considering it was the first kill we see by Ghostface. It was new, scary, exciting (if you're a horror fan), and original. It literally introduced us to a new villain in the horror franchise. Also, Drew did such a good job in the beginning. I remember sitting at the edge of my seat with anxiety . Love me some Ghostface.

There’s 3 stand out kills in that movie the fridge, the ladder, and the 2nd to last kill of the movie. I still think the fridge one was the goriest kill of the movie and honestly really surprising for this franchise.
it was still MID though. Obvious killers and characters being stabbed 30 times and still living. One got gutted on the train and was on her feet again
@@laphonz She didn’t get gutted. She was stabbed in the stomach twice which you can survive provided it didn’t hit any organs. And if you didn’t like it, oh well. Don’t shit on it for those who actually did like it.
