Geesh just now seeing this. Mear & CBS were the inspiration for graff on the west coast. This brought back all the memories; getting up on a Saturday and coming down from the High Desert 395 to grab outfits for Insomniac Raves on Melrose and other locales. We always start and finish at BEAT NON STOP! Grab the latest DJ DAN Mixtape and head for Pinks. While eating we would search for new Mear pieces! Always highly political and post apocalyptic with a message that we need to change and fight the system as a people. I really loved hanging out with the middle eastern guy in Beat Non Stop. Not sure if he was the owner. But he would let us hang out back while we ate so we could admire the pieces. The mid 1990's were an amazing time for Mear on the street. A lot of his pieces stayed up for so long. This vid hit me right in the feels!
mear and Saber are the illest and have influenced me. mear on the more political side. the art speaks to you. mear has helped mold my mind into knowing truth.
