    I have bow legs and I just realized yesterday that I have been standing incorrectly for the last 37 years. Everything you spoke about in this video is completely on point. I realize I was standing incorrectly when I saw myself in the mirror by accident actually standing with my feet completely flat. I saw what happened with my alignment after I placed my feet completely flat instead of how I normally stand. I’m actually crying writing this because my hips and lower back has been hurting for years and I now think this could be the main reason, if not the reason. Also both my leg are bow which runs in my family but one of mines is more bow than the other. It’s just so interesting to realize at this age that I was standing incorrectly for so long. I am excited to learn how to though and observe the change. Thank you much

I have realized in my daily practice with private clients that misalignments are at the root cause of chronic pains, and if we don't do anything about it we create hotspots for pain, injury and inflammation in the body.     Hey Chi,
    I love the videos, very helpful on a subject I have been trying to dig into for years with little results. Very practical.
    One note on a difference for me from tip 1:
    - You are right about the weight being on the outside of the feet, but over time my body adapted and overcompensated by putting the big toes down and taking too much weight on the ball joint. Eventually the bones of that joint thickened and caused a number of problems (leading me to go to the podiatrist in the first place). Long story short, I had to learn to walk more evenly, but by bringing the outside of my foot back into use. Also, my big toe turned up as the bone thickening in the joint affected the tendons and muscles in that area. I have also been working on my arches and to strengthen my feet, ankles and calves to provide more stability and fix the imbalance. Since it was identified 5 years ago, the thickness of the joint has reduced and I have much better mobility (though there is much work to be done still)
    Thank you so much for highlighting the adductor work. That helps a lot and nobody I have seen has suggested it (they usually say to use insoles). Bless you!

    I’m 16 and my legs are bowed. If I start walking with my big toe down from now on will it correct my legs? I also have a question about how long that should take theoretically if I walk like that from now on.

    I have my legs really seriously bowed from my meniscus being torn from falls on both knees on the inner side? Idk if straightening them would cause me pain?

      That's absolutely correct, Ms Pista. These are exercises that help us change our bodies by creating awareness. We first need to understand what we do in order to change patterns. When you stand during the day, notice the way you stand. Notice the position of your big toes and your inner thighs. Soften your knees and at some point your body will change. Good luck!

    I don't think I stand this way (at least not often if I do), but I do find myself turning my feet to the sides like that when I'm sitting at my computer. My legs aren't bowed (that I can tell) but I do get foot pain sometimes, so I'm going to try to try to stop doing that! Probably will help my pelvis too I bet. :)

      The body is one. And I wouldn't be surprised if your pelvis imbalance contributes to your feet turning out. As you fix one end the other changes with it. Keep exploring!

      Hi Mohit Rawat, this means you pin down the big toes, hence the big toes are NOT off of the ground but rather in contact with the ground. As illustrated in the video your toes may not be in contact with the ground when you stand. Does that make more sense?

    Thank you so much for the video, it's been really helpful, however, I wanna ask one small question, my bow legs is not serious, I think the gap between my legs is about 2cm, but it's still annoying, is there any possibilities that my knees stretch too much that caused this?

    I have a good strength and energy in both my upper and lower body.
    And i used to jog 4 km every morning.

      bow legs are bone related, bones won't magically change in 2 days, it takes month if not years

      @@vegeta1885 nothing will happen in months...also it will help only at a certain age..your bones won't reshape if you are 45...much less in a few months. These exercises are only to reduce the damage and NOT to correct the curve.

    You can't change the shape of your bones.
    Unless you get knee replacement surgery for example, and they break and re-align the bones.
