Findong the 79 relics is a very rewarding thing to do in the game. Not for dormis sword. But because we get to explore areas of the game we never see just doing the normal story!!
Yes that's true. My first time playing the game I was up all night mainly because I spent a lot of time exploring the map. As for the 79 gold coins, I found 74 of them on my own with no help. I already had a good idea where many of them would be as I had already explored the map extensively in the past. But some of them were hidden in places I didn't think to look. Even after 19 years new discoveries are still being made in this game. Simply amazing.
To this day, new things are still found in this game! Me and some friends of mine are big fans of it and we are creating a game inspired by the beta phases of the game, called "NICO"

I found the number 24 etched on a rock near colossus 14 & despite having combed that area many times since the release of the PS4 remake, it took 4 years to finally notice it. It's amazing that even after 17 years, S.O.T.C. continues to be played, explored, studied, scrutinized. That really says something. Good luck with "NICO".

I agree with that. As you can see from my content related to the game, I've chosen not to make videos showing fights with the colossi. I figure there is enough of those already on here. My goal is to try & show other things you can do in the Forbidden Lands as well as discoveries I've made. It's amazing that even after 17 years, there is still new discoveries to be made.
Usually when you venture into an area that's "out of bounds", you'll need to restart the game once you're done looking around or exploring. There are some locations considered "out of bounds" that will allow you to return to the regular part of the map without re-starting. These areas are mostly located above the ground from where you would normally travel. You just have to watch where you step when in these areas. One wrong move & you'll either fall through the map or die instantly.
Keep believing. If we're really lucky, we'll get a Definitive Edition of the game next year to celebrate the 20th anniversary. Should that happen, some (or all) of the missing colossi will most likely be put back in the game & the map will probably be expanded too. There's also a chance we will finally get to explore past the Secret Garden & climb all the way up to the very top of the castle. Which is something you were able to do in early stages of the games development.

But as I always say..."Shadow Of The Colossus" is a gift that keeps on giving way past what it's development team could have ever imagined. And that soundtrack...it's been continually in print on CD since 2005. How many game soundtracks can make that claim? As far as I know...none. :)

@@Fede0779 Not to hate on "Dragon's Dogma" but I agree, it's not even close. Really the only game so far that comes close to being similar to S.O.T.C. is "Praey For The Gods" & that game sadly hasn't received the love it deserves or a physical release. "Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow" does have 3 bosses you take out in the same fashion as S.O.T.C., but that's only 3 out of the entire game. S.O.T.C. is a one-of-a-kind experience on so many levels.
I was guessing it right - I also google it out - the parachute is bonus item. I did not bothered with time attack mode. And now I also found out thanks to related videos that I can ride a hawk by catching it - It never occured me (because it's too much unrealistic) - I thought I needed just ride on horse along the hawk for the trophy. The big fish I was able to grab - but grabing a hawk - I did not think of it - I have to try it out.
True it is a bonus item. In the original game you needed to take out 14 colossi in Hard Time Attack Mode to get the "Cloth Of Desperation" (parachute) but in the PS4 remake you only need to take out 12. The good thing about the time attacks is that you can choose which colossi you want to fight & in the order you want to fight them, unlike story mode where you have to fight them in order.
@@timmadone8930 am trying to get the parachute in the PS3 version - but it is super hard, nearly impossible to beat some of these colossi, after severall hours, I got 5 of them.
@@RXQ79 The PS3 version was made a little more difficult because players said the PS2 version was too easy. But then the PS4 remake was nerfed a bit because players complained that the PS3 version was too hard. Don't give up you'll beat those colossi eventually. It took me many years of playing on & off to get the Queen's Sword on the PS3 version but I did eventually get the sword & the platinum trophy.
@@timmadone8930 I am still trying - I got 9 of them now - I also got original PS2 and disk - to see how it looks on real PS2 - I know there is emulator - I just want to play it on real PS2 console also - when I'll be done with PS3 version. I can play it on PS2 also with mouse and keyboard - just like on PS3.
@@RXQ79 The thing about the original PS2 version is that when played on a huge flat screen TV it obviously isn't going to look very good. That goes for any older video game that was meant to be played on a Cathode Ray TV with a 27" screen or less. Had you played this game back in 2005 on a the type of TV most people were still using at the time, it would have looked really good. Just not as good as the PS4 remake which still looks outstanding even 5 years after it's release.

Thanks, I try to show things in my videos that I've never seen anyone else post. Amazingly even after 18 years there are still new discoveries to be made in this game. As for the dam, based on other comments I've read it's not in the remake. However, I will soon be posting a video of a location on the map where it's possible a dam once was. That video should be up sometime early next year.

Hi & no. All my content (so far) concerning "Shadow Of The Colossus" is from actual gameplay using the PS4 remake & recorded live as I was doing it. In some videos I did need to use turbo & "hawk-hump" (not shown as it takes about 15 minutes) in order to get to certain locations that are impossible to reach without being very high in the air, but for the most part all content seen in the videos can be done with just a standard controller & using only Agro, the Cloth Of Desperation, or the Flash Arrow.

It's getting harder & harder to find new things to upload that I feel would be of interest to anyone that's a fan of the game, & more importantly things that aren't already widely known. But as a "Secret Seeker" the task of making new discoveries no matter how insignificant they may seem, is never ending.

I had watched 1000's of videos (literally) on the PS4 remake & never saw one showing the long hawk ride at the D-5 prayer shrine. But just a month or so after I uploaded my video, I saw another video on the same subject dated almost a year before my video.
