Show the man a pass and
Everything you've got
Go to where he points and
Throw it all on top
Hear the crunching beneath of junk let go
A parrot cage and dial phones
Blue for small electrics
Microwaves in here
Television pieces
In a rusty skip
But be careful if you brought chemicals
They've got a place especially for those
And there's always a busy crowd around
People come from all over town (over town)
Dropping off the things that they no longer need to keep
Everybody's collage
Stacking up the wall
When the sun is out the
Scent gets pretty tall
But the site operators don't care much
They're looking forward to their lunch
And when we fill it up
A lorry comes and drags it on the tarmac
Somewhere far from here
So when they let us in
At six a.m.
The spaces are empty again
And there's always a busy crowd around
People come from all over town (over town)
Dropping off the things that they no longer need to keep
My grandma used to sing this to me when I was little
never thought i'd almost cry listening to a song about trash being thrown away
This sounds like the type of music you put on at night in a city while the moon shines down after a long day
This song is a prime example of why this album feels so wintery even when its not the intention.
this is the song that most stuck out to me when this album came out. i was going through a really bad depression and listened to this almost every single day then. things are a little better but it's weird listening to this now.
industrial lullaby
This song feels like that unexplainable lethargic feeling you get buying groceries at 3 in the morning
the bit about the parrot cage is so sad
Unsettling, in a pleasing way.
Uploading faster than you can listen
The riff at
kkb gets even more fantastic... Now it is more as poetry.
oh my god they're just dumping everything. bless you.
i think i like this one the most. it's grey skies and a muddy, clangy racket off in the distance somewhere. i loved the dump when i was a kid, i used to collect old keyboards and electronics and crack them open when i got home to learn how they worked. and i hear that vibe really clearly in the song itself and it brings me back to happy times
so weird thinking this came out in 2018.. i saw them in november of 2018. was an amazing show, got a water bottle from sarah, wish they would tour again. crowd was so nice too. so genuine, miss that year :(
Kero Kero is so cool :(
Can't believe this was Anthony's least favorite track
this song has been the soundtrack of the inside of my mind for the past 4 years its just so beautiful and sad and wow
Not even 24 hours since they released the album and this is already one of my favorite songs of the year
this song gives me an overwhelming sense of nostalgia, probably one of my favorites off time n' place.
