- Need for Speed Underground 2. This game doesn't even need an introduction.. Millions upon million of NFS players grew up with this golden gem. Me being one of the many who grew up with NFS Underground 2 going back to this game put an even bigger smile on my face than I expected. If you so happen to have never played NFS U2, I am here to tell you to get this game TODAY, and live through the early 2000's / mid 2000's Fast and Furious influenced NFS titles like Underground 2. @@tehpunisher4568 Well, my PC isn't the best and I tried to download it many times but it didn't work out.
@@chriskrg8579 have you tried doing it via emulator? Not ideal but it's likely the easiest way. What sort of pc setup you have? You don't need anything overkill to run like a GameCube emu or a PS2 emu. Hell I can run nfsu on my OnePlus 9 pro (phone) at around 30 to 40 fps (when it's not throttling.) If I had better cooling on my phone I wouldn't doubt I can hold 50 consistently.
As long as you have a PC from like 2015 or newer (something with at least a 700 series gpu) you can run GameCube. Hell my Mac (no discrete gpu) from 2013 was able to run some gbc games. Not well but we'll enough
@@tehpunisher4568 I didn't tried from an emulator. The only thing I changed to my PC was the processor and I have it from 2013. My phone ( Xiaomi Redmi Note 8), I don't know if it can run it properly. I'll try it again sometime soon. Thanks btw for the idea to play nfsu in an emulator. 😄

I remember when I was a kid, I wanted to play all the old NFS games, since I had Carbon on the 360 and I really enjoyed it. I must have been like 7 or 8. This was all about 12 years ago. I played all the games I had access to, starting with NFS Underground. I was gutted when it came to Underground 2 because my dad lost his copy years and years ago. the main disc was missing. And when I got myself a PS2 like 2-3 years after that, I got a copy of Underground 2 that was so beat to crap that it wouldn't start. recently repaired that disc with some polish and it works just fine now, I can finally play this game properly :D my dad even found some old pictures from when he was playing it when it was new. he tended to go for the European cars like the Vauxhalls. I enjoy the game a lot but the rubberbanding AI really gets on my nerves.
Why is it that you drive so fricking good on sim race games and fumble so much on arcade race games? I know they are different genres and require different skills, but damn...
Also, 2:34 was absolute god-like edit, nearly killed me by laughter, good job.
Its because of the arcade physics. In Sim racing games, you normally brake before entering a corner, then accelerating after exiting following a racing line. This doesn't work in arcade games. Like in NFS games, cars start to slide if you brake while turning.
Ah, nothing like the AI going neck to neck with the player on Street X races and refusing to steer even slightly in either direction sometimes, driving the player straight into a wall. One way to end up in a cat and mouse game if the AI is fast, and regain the first place - or lose the race on the last corner of the final lap.
The AI in nfs under ground 2 is weird sometimes the racers end up in a wall or hitting a AI traffic car it's pretty funny to watch the cars hit stuff😅
@@caden6404 It gets much crazier than that, the funky AI sometimes even wallrides or goes out of bonds on URL events where this is possible, somehow. Never understood what made the AI of UG2 so weird, it's by far the weirdest in the series, and its especially weird since UG1 had none of its issues but it was considerably more brutal with its rubberbanding.
@@proletherapy15 well here's what I wen the AI tries to ruin the race I get the hummer h1 and turn on the heavy metal music in nfs under ground 2 and I hope I don't get smashed off the road

@@caden6404 Smash 'em well then, I wouldn't worry about crashes, the AI isn't that much of a nuissance or threat when it comes to that, unless it's Street X where it does tend to be more violent. Surprisingly, Drag races are the one place where the AI never does anything insane or out of the ordinary, other than just rubberbanding, but that's nothing new after all.
The SUVs were an interesting idea in the game, but they didn't do much to differentiate from the regular races and cars, and they are also considerably slower and less stable than them. Little surprise that Black Box ditched them in the next games, they were a bit too gimmicky.

That's due to the game not knowing how to deal with modern multicore CPUs too well, but it is an original issue at the same time too, as the AI would randomly go flying on the hardware of the time as well.

I remember glitching out of the track at the airport and raced the plane. No joke, i literally tried Fast 6 in Need For Speed U2. There was so many car ramming me against the wall and the game just decided to no-clip me through the barrier. Woke up at 9 a.m. and went straight to the PC, then played until 6 p.m.

When I was kid playing UG2 I always wonder how to unlock stoge 5 of the man, I did these routes:
Beatting all AI in Free roam when there no longer apear on man.
Aplying last pats of the visuals.
Completing all hiden rases.
But not knowing I only needed a 6 star vizualiai on my car

I can tell your very good at this game. I played this game a lot too and laughed my ass off because I had a lot of the same things happen to me. Going off the jumps and not seeing the car right over the crest. My favorites was comedown the mountain and cutting those turns perfectly fast only to find the game spawned a car perform your blind spot. This is the best nfsu2 video I have seen so far. I never ended beating this game on hard manual I don’t think I will but I mastered most of the turns. Your very good

Something happened me today in NFSU2 was me crashing and flying so far away that I became out of race boundaries, so I could roam around the bayview as I want 😂
I still play too and didn’t know there was a community. I have always tried to drive the entire highway ring at 200mph with no wall taps or car taps. There is one turn I just can’t seem to master.

Highly unlikely.
They tried hard to put everything in Heat but it seemed they did it worse. I'd like to see Underground remake or remaster or even 3 (they are not Valve after all 🤣) but I think even EA understands how high the expectations and responsibility will be so it's better be a nostalgia game than another poorly made remaster like GTA Defective Edition.
