    Kerala is almost urban now. 10-15 yrs back small small shops were there. Still in interior village you can experiemce such shops. Due to urbanisation most of the towns have supermarkets now. I recommend you to travel some local villages in trichur idukki etc.

    In Kerala Navrathri is celebrated in reverence of Devi Saraswathy Goddess of Learning unlike Goddess Durga in North India. Here Durga puja is celebrated on Deewali.
    A correction is needed in the narration by the Blogger. Books and Working Tools are presented for blessings of Goddess Saraswathy on Ashtamy, 8th day (also known as Ayudha Pooja Day or Poojakku vekkal) and taken back on Vijaya Dasami. സ്കൂൾ going children welcome pooja veppu, because during these rwo days parents will not ask them to study since the books are submitted for Saraswathy Pooja.

    One more thing very important that you will notice is House's even if you are in most deep villages you will see modern house's and people living happily there unlike Northern India. Small supermarket culture I personally think came cause of Middle East countries exposure, cause there is almost supermarkets in middle East so returnees started same model shops here.

Goats and chicken living in same room with human, when it's rain water gets Inside and outside full mud and have to take nature's call finding bushes. Why cause lacks basic needs. Here people moving from villages to town, town to cities. But in kerala reverse migration from cities to villages possible that's my point about happiness. Human happy everywhere but my comment was specific to something.

    The books and tools are keeping for Pooja in different places. Tools are keeping at their own places. Like offices and work shops etc. But books are keeping at the temple for two days. I mean if you give your books to the temple today evening, you can take it back the day after tomorrow, at the morning time. That's the custom here.

    For all Dravidians(A, TN, TL, K and K, some maratis and some gujjus from lata region ) navratri is celebrated as saraswathi puja, they keep the books in the puja on first day of puja and not supposed to be touched or moved. On Vijayadashami day they take the books and other tools from the puja. Vijayadashami is celebrated as vidhyarambam for infants, it is also considered auspicious for new initiatives. In Karnataka, girls go from house to house in the neighbourhood to sing Carnatic Kritis. Guys will be behind doors and listening and checking out girls. Kids also go from house to house to see the display of dolls and get prasadams (light snacks, sweets). I think you are missing out too many things.

      @senaeco 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Bhargav Naidu The day after Navratri is Dussera or Vijayadashami, sometimes used to denote all the 10 days. Almost everybody also use the word dussera also to denote this festival, dashami means 10th day.

    Navaratri in Kerala is considered best time to start learning new things, people start learning fine arts at this time. For students it is considered very auspicious to read after taking the books back from the temple. Like you said professionals and others also keep their work material for pooja, may be in their work place or house.
    The comfort and many benifits of supermarket is the reason for its popularity.....

    Hi sweet Akaashita, missed your videos for long. Even we Keralites wonder why imp shops like Medical shops are not there everywhere. Actually DPharm passed individuals are a must for these. Very good "Malayalam korachu korachu ariyam". Good idea to stay with Malayalees. Can I ask if you are a student or working in Kerala. If so in which industry. Just curious.

One small correction... you don't use the word "Batchelor" when you refer to females, the correct word is " Spinister". Wish you all the very best in everything that you do. God bless!
