  • How to Fix the Car Temperature Gauge Going Up and Down. In this video, we will discuss how to fix the car temperature gauge going up and down.
When you look at your car’s dashboard on the driver’s side, you will notice that right next to the fuel level indicator, there is a temperature gauge. The temperature gauge will indicate the temperature of your engine’s coolant, whether normal, cool, or overheating.
At times, you may notice that the temperature gauge is moving up or down erratically. Or it may even be stuck on high or low.
The following are some of the causes
    • The thermostat may be defective due to being used for a long time and is due for replacement.
    • The radiator may be clogged due to blockage caused by rust and debris accumulated over time.

I did this, still climbs halfway when I get in town running at low speeds.I even changed out the temperature sensor.Seen it could be my catalytic converter? I'm pretty sure I need to replace it , but not sure if that is why it causes the temp to climb in town
