This is such a great segment, I’m having my hip replaced next month at 31. I’m nervous of course, but videos like this make me feel more at ease. I’m ready to just get this over with!

I am 25 years old and have 2 hip replacements. Had my right one done back in November of 2022 and recently my left one done on June 5th of this year. I had bad osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis (death of the tissue due to blood supply being cut off). I was in very bad pain and to top it off, I'm a Level 4 Personal Protection Officer/Security Officer and my duty belt and line of duty made my enjoyable job a walking hell on earth. I still battle anxiety and depression just thinking of my age and feeling no one can relate. I also fear the future and my lifespan or just my walking lifespan in general. My right hip healed amazingly and it feels like there was never anything wrong with it in the 1st place. Prayer's please everyone🙏🏼 And I'll be sending the exact same to those who go through this surgery and many more! May God bless and guide you!

Hey I'm also 16 years old and had a neck femur surgery back in January with two screws inserted. Unfortunately they both broke and the doctor wasn't able to remove the head screws that were left inside the neck femur because there would've been a higher risk of avascular necrosis. I still walk with crutches and I wonder if I'll ever be able to walk normally again. I'm very afraid of what's to come but just know you're not alone in this journey and God chose us for a purpose, we're more stronger than we think we are and we can overcome this! I just hope I won't have to get a total hip replacement from such a young age and just the thought of having two screws inside my bone for forever haunts me... I wish you all the best in life and may God bless you!

I have 2 bionic hips. However, I am not that young anymore. Mine we done before 65. Best thing I ever had done.

I understand. I had my right hip replacement did September 2021 and currently have osteoarthritis in my left hip. I'm 43 and I hear that saying from alot from both people that's older and younger than I am. I tell people that claiming to have this excruciating pain to go get checked out.

So I'm not the only one who has to use their arm to help lift the leg with the bad hip!
