This boss fight was so much fun I actually think I loved it more than the final boss. It was so cool how they did a completly new (and improved) boss from the slug in the original. The theme music to go along with it is the cherry on top. I still can’t believe how amazing of job motive did on this remake!
I ran out of ammo and kept drifting back and forth like an idiot, not knowing what to do, until realizing that those red fartballs it hurls at you can be grabbed with kenesis and lobbed back at it in lieu of ammo. I only had to do that a few times to kill it, and I went for the same spot shown at 2:38.
i don't get why he slows down in space like he's flying around in the air or something. in the original if you jumped somewhere you never lost your velocity, which makes sense in a vaccuum
They improved this fight so much compared to the original. The original was literally a slug and you couldn't it was the Leviathan, plus aiming with the cannons was a pain. The soundtrack is also very good.
Yeah I had no ammo for my rifle and no money to buy some when I encountered this fight the first time. It's bad design IMO and the devs should put a bunch of ammo in crates or something if the player neither has ammo for the rifle nor money to buy some. It's essential for this fight and without it, you might as well melee the damn thing.

IDK about u guys but i think the open space parts of this game would be much more terrifying and realistic if there were no actual sound but only the RIG beating, Isaac's breathing and grunting when damaged, otherwise i absolutely love this game, this boss fight took me a while to overcome lol
How could Isaac even tell whether this was the same creature he fought in food storage? It looks completely different here. For all I know this could still be the Slug boss from the original game.

I beat it my first try playing on hard and I’ve never played a dead space game in my life this boss fight was super fun for me 🤷🏽♂️

I destroyed all the yellow spots and it said my guns were destroyed. I was floating around and around looking for a weak point to attack and nothing
Just had to grab the yellow things w kinesis abd throw them back
