@Mas Gonderawi True, only Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, even Kenya can claim to these things. Not West/Central Africans.
It's like a Albanian claiming British history as his own lol.

@@Mas Gonderawi there's no such thing as 'Negro African' ... That's what colonists called the black people (from west Africa) and you know they don't want to be referred by it. Remember what God did when Moses's sister tried to criticize moses for marring a black person? Search it.
You may not agree with him but at least.. be Respectful.

@Mas Gonderawi and how did you know he's not referring Ethiopia/Egypt when @Teny Power said Africa? Even the title of the book is "how Africa shaped the Christian mind" Why did you jump to the conclusion that he's only pointing west/central Africa?

@Mas Gonderawi “Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman” (Num. 12:1). A Cushite is from Cush, a region south of Ethiopia, where the people are known for their black skin. We know this because of Jeremiah 13:23: “Can the Ethiopian [the same Hebrew word translated “Cushite” in Numbers 12:1] change his skin or the leopard his spots? Then also you can do good who are accustomed to do evil.” Attention is drawn to the difference of the skin of the Cushite people.
In his book From Every People and Nation: A Biblical Theology of Race, Daniel Hays writes that Cush “is used regularly to refer to the area south of Egypt, and above the cataracts on the Nile, where a Black African civilization flourished for over two thousand years. Thus it is quite clear that Moses marries a Black African woman”

..just to give you an insight
      Now to my point _
You are here arguing for the Ethiopian Orthodox church and its legacies, right?
I should mention the bible verse Solomon 1:5 - I'm black but beautiful. Unlike some churches , Ethiopian Orthodox church believes these words were Queen Sheba's. In fact, the whole chapter was a conversation between Queen Sheba and Solomon.
      Basically, Queen Makida(Sheba) is black.
The CHURCH it self knows the people of Ethiopia were(are still) black and the evidence is the Bible.
The oldest human fossils were found in Ethiopia ..if "some one" is mixed, it's the Arabians not Ethiopians.
And if you are a real Ethiopian, haven't you ever seen the real pictures of Menilik, Tayitu, Alula aba nega? And all the paintings from battle of Adwa?? Or may I say random people on the street?

I am reading Thomas C. Oden’s THE JUSTIFICATION READER and the clarity of justification expressed within the early church is enlightening and liberating. May this sweet book become like an old favorite shirt that we enjoy the comfort of through the length of our days as Christians! I am 67 and recently have experienced significant hearing loss and at times struggle with it, but the comfort in this writing and reporting renders my spirit buoyant and resilient. Thank you, Elder Oden! May God shed your understanding of His peace in the mind of Christ wide and deep!

I have started reading your book today, and I cannot put it down. This has been my thoughts for a while. To see it written for the first time, gives me comfort that the thoughts came from my faith in Jesus Christ. Much is clear now.

What he is talking about is early christianity in North Africa within Roman Empire borders. Alexandria in Egypt was founded by greeks in third century BC and was largely populated with greek settlers, others within Hellenistic World and native Coptic Egyptians. The modern term of Africa, Europe or Asia as we know it was not established. Early christianity in North Africa belonged to the Roman Empire and Mediterranean World.
