I've never met Izzy, but I can definitely say Fortus is a great guy and very passionate and talented player, whether he's playing in front of 100 people in a club or in front 60-70k people in a stadium (check out his guitar play on his other bands over the years; his style definitely fits the band, unlike Ashba)... Izzy was invited for this tour but declined... I'm assuming that's why we're not seeing more of Adler; maybe they're holding that back hoping Izzy reconsiders next year... keep in mind that Izzy was never a big fan of public performing, so we may only get some surprise appearances in the future, if that...
@@bls8959 I doubt Wuel Wiel has met Izzy either, yet he painted him as a "nice guy" and Fortus as "ok"... my point to Wuel Wiel was he probably can't speak to what kind of person Izzy is either (it was a subtle jab on my part), but that I've met Rich a few times and he hasn't let the GNR gig get to his head... still a very down to earth normal human... that's all, no need for Wuel Wiel to rag on him just because he's not Izzy, and I love what Izzy has contributed to the GNR legacy, so it's not a Rich vs Izzy thing for me
@@bls8959 never said that … I have become somewhat friendly with a few people in that camp (current and former), but nothing I would consider proper friendships… it’s easy to talk to them when they play side shows with cover bands for kicks in between regular dates with the main gig, although that’s gone out the window this year with covid…
Izzy and Slash were made to play together. Not the same with Fortus. Izzy and Slash would weave back and forth, different sound, but still not bad i guess.
I actually dug that, and it's a way to give Axl a breather during a pretty long set... p.s. - I've seen STP cover Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" with Weiland - thought it was done great (this was right before they kicked him out the first time)
This was my first GNR show. It was like a dream come true.
I loved Guns N Roses back in the 80's! It brings back good memories when I was in my 20's!

Its funny how they cover the song but no vocals , I miss WEILAND...
