~~Measurements~~
Card base: what cardstock cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" score on the 5 1/2" side at 1 1/4" down to the score line, then cut across to make a book card fold
Strips: (20) piece of cut pattern cardstock to 6" x 9/16" ( or 1/2" plus a 16th)
Quilt square: (4) pieces of white cardstock cut to 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" , tip...you will want to use a thinner cardstock
Block building base: (1) pieces of cardstock large enough to create the squares, we used a 12x12 piece

I just love everything you do. I have learned so much from you. Took a 20 yr break untilthe my accident in 2020. I can't wait for my little settlement so I can return the favor and buy everything you use. Most of all I love love love the idea of scripture stamps. This country needs more faith in hearts.
I did the same thing you did, Maymay, and was confused. But I went back and watched how you cut them and figured it out. If you want to intermingle the triangles after cutting them diagonally, they need to all be cut the same way. You need to put the squares in your trimmer so the the paper strips are all running the same direction, and then you cut them in the same direction (bottom left to top right, or the reverse). See 17:30 to 19:15 marks.
It seems weird that it would matter, but it did. Just thought I'd pass on if others had the same problem. Love the card!

You should come up with a stamp that’s stitching and an embossing folder that matches the stitching so it looks like the stitching goes along the edge of the embossing design just like it would on a regular quilt. What do you think?bHuh huh?🤔

You could also put the 2nd white piece on the opposite side,making sure to line it up and have a different pattern. You would still get two cards from the one but they would have different quilt patterns.

Gunny sacks were what potatoes and grain were originally delivered in. I have a quilt top my aunt made during the depression era from those and ripped up clothes. It's rough but she would use a softer fabric for the underside to make it serviceable.
It has been an awful sad month and I'm so glad to have your videos to take my mind off things and smile for awhile. Thank you so much.

Here is a vocabulary point. You said you were going to show a new square. The quilting term would be a new block. Blocks can be square or rectangle or other shapes.. What makes a quilt depends on individual taste. Some like scrappy (less matched). Some like a more restrained pallette. However the worst quilts are very matchy matchy, in other word little contrast of color or patches etc.

Those stamp Patten's would be fantastic as embossing folders or die plates that do not cut just impress.

Oooh I’m loving this card! 9/16 was hard for me to cut so I went to 5 strips at 5/8 inches and cut my card base at 3 1/8 - I hope this works out lol

I am from New Mexico. I am left handed and my birthday is April25th.
Idea: glue the strips down for 1 square and before trimming glue a 2nd white square to the opposite side of strips then you have automatic 2 diff squares.
The Meandering stamp will look 'sew' cute in a light ink as a background with butterflies, bees, dragonflies, etc!
You could have put one card on top and one card under the other side and get two quilted squares for same quilt card

How do you keep your squares from warping? All of mine buckle and warp?
Hi, is it when you put the squares together: you may be using too much glue, less is more
If it is happening when you emboss: wait til the glue has tried completely and then emboss, thanks for watching
