Occupying a peninsula on the west side of Hillsborough County at the upper part of Tampa Bay, the park showcases several unique and sensitive ecosystems, including salt marshes, mud flats, and pine flatwoods. Amenities include a nature center, kayak launch and trails, playground, sand volleyball court, picnic shelters, and approximately 4 miles of nature trails.
