George I was the winner of your 4,444 subscriber video. You sent me a krooked board and a handwritten note I still have today. I was 16 when I got that board and skated the shit out of it and other boards after that one was cooked. I’m 25 now and just gotta say keep being creative! Your videos bring real change and we love seeing your creative process.

It’s a privilege to share the journey with you George, beautiful video. I resonate with everything you said.
I’m currently going through my own unmasking struggles after diagnosing myself with highly masked autism.
I’ve been experimenting with sharing whatever I want on ig stories which in the past I would have held back on for fear of people thinking I was weird.
Views have dropped but I have noticed increased engagement from friends that resonate most with what I want to share.
It’s rewarding and painful at the same time as I also feel shame and insecurity as a recovering people pleaser.
Do you have many friends in real life that you can talk about all these spiritual things with? I have a couple and they are so precious but I really wish I could connect with everyone on this same wavelength.
A lot of people just don’t seem to want to go there.

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Congrats on your own journey of unmasking and sharing more on IG - I know how challenging it can be.
I would not say I have many friends IRL to talk about this with, no. Like you, there are a precious few, and I am really grateful to have them. I’ve come to realize that this is more than enough- a blessing really.
There is also a larger spiritual community in my city that im connected to, but in terms of my close circle, it’s really just a few. I’ve also been extremely lucky to find a mentor who “speaks this language”
What you said about the views dropping but engagement increases from friends who resonate is a perfect metaphor for this, sort of like what I was saying in the video.
When we embrace change and step into our truth, it might be that the misalignment in many of our relationships becomes revealed. However, I can tell you with a heart full of confidence that this is creating space for more aligned and significantly deeper relationships and opportunities to arise.
The beauty and depth at which I’ve been able to connect with those precious few with whom there is a true alignment FAR outweighs any sort of shallow connection I can have with however many tens or hundreds of people. It has been a JOURNEY to get here, but I can say with confidence I’ve been able to create lifelong bonds that will never be broken - like a chosen family.
I want to make a point that there is no need to “other” the people with whom you can’t fully connect. As you grow in confidence in being yourself and accepting your own path, it will get easier and easier to peacefully accept the paths of others, even if they don’t understand you or if they are on a totally different path. ALSO - always hold space for people to change. We are always changing. A lot of times people come around and divergent paths can cross again, and it can take 1,2,5,10 years or more.
My advice is keep going, and be gentle with yourself along the way.
Always happy to discuss more in comments or in the 1:1 calls to go deeper if you ever feel called.

I was listening to this while driving back from Chad Caruso's Skate Across America event at Bluetile Skateshop. His documentary really is the spirit of authenticity you are speaking about.
My thoughts while driving in no order.
-I think there is value in you doing one on one session, but also offer group sessions were creators can collaborate.
    - No better way to learn than to teach 💯.
    - You made me appreciate my small unmonetize channel, there is zero pressure. I want to make good videos, I lose nothing in the process of figuring that out. There is freedom in being small.
-I really enjoyed the raw honesty of this video. Thanks for the conversation.
    Stay Rad.

That's so awesome you got to see Chad! He's such an amazing person. He's one of the reasons I've been feeling more brave lately. Thank you for listening and sharing your thoughts! You're absolutely right about the freedom of the small channel - that's a great insight. Lots of love brother.
