Geoff has a new video coming out the beginning of October. It is spectacular. Standing ovation worthy.
For such a repetitive, though great piece of music, with no words and the only change being the tempo, I think Layne did a fantastic job of making each repeating section so different and interesting. All the little comedic elements along with the amazing make-up made this a lot of fun. I'm loving Geoff Castellucci Monday's, long may it continue (solo or with VP) and thank you for the interesting reaction Cole! 🙂👍

Elizabeth says that she is not an opera singer, but she certainly has the pipes for it! You are correct; she and Geoff compliment and contrast each other well!
I really enjoy your reactions to VoicePlay and Geoff's solo work. And of course, Home Free... I've been a Home Fry since watching them on the Sing-Off.
Elizabeth has been seen and heard in their videos previously. She was in Just Sing, which included a lot of performers they had worked with. (If you haven’t seen it, be sure to put on the captions. They include identifying info for each person.) She was also heard as the ethereal voice in Frozen 2 and in their Greatest Showman Medley you can hear her over the part where all five of them are beatboxing. They always include her in the credits, so it might be worth giving them a look when you react to a video.
Actually, this isn’t their Halloween piece for this year. Last week they recorded a Halloween video that may be out next week. It is also arranged and directed by Layne, so it promises to be a lot of fun! Also, Geoff has a new Halloween video that may be out this Friday. (But if you haven’t seen it yet his Monster Mash from last year is terrific.

This is such an iconic song. VoicePlay did such an amazing job with it.
having a quick look around your channel I found your Geoff play list. Noticed your inclusion of VoicePlay in there as well. Another thing i noticed was the absence of 2 grate songs you could do for the month of October. The first is Geoff's rendition of "Monster Mash" and the other is VoicePlay's rendition of "Oggie Boogie's Song" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas". The second could also be done in December as well as it does fit that time of year as well.

In a comment I called Elizabeth G an opera singer, as that's how she sounds to me here and I also heard The Charismatc Voice refer to her soprano skills in her reaction.
Elizabeth G kindly answered my comment herself and defined herself as a 'Just what do you want me to sing today kind of gal' her words.
VP has utilised her soprano skills in their Frozen 2 and The Greatest Showman medley off screen as a high voice in the background. She is also a participant in Just Sing, a collaborations of many artists ft by VP. Keep the captions on för that one as they tell who everbody is and how they relate to VP. The song itself is good as well and will leave you with a smile.

Björn Record channel. Take a listen to that and then think about Geoffs little solo in the later part here as he added his ingridient.
There's a long-running story about Layne and carrots. Long- time fan Hulda Draco has recently released that story on her channel. She has lot of background material on VP there.
Hulda Draco has Alot of great videos about Voiceplay. Her latest is their members history. Theyre They're all very interesting.

they had a few very funny moments in the behind the scenes which they do for their patreons. One was Layne dragging actual trees into the studio to relate the forest and apparently Cesar’s ears fell off when they were doing the energetic part!❤️🏴
And Elizabeth lost a nail. 🤣❤️
I also heard that Voiceplay just filmed another video for Halloween. This one is supposed to be for September.

Layne and carrots are a thing! You will notice carrots here and there around Layne as you go through VoicePlay’s catalogue, for example in “Frozen” and “Butter”. VoicePlayers fondly call him “the Carrot Lord”.
No this is not their Halloween offering. They are currently wotking on one for that, but as yet haven't shown patrons what it is. Geoff on the other hand has shown us his new one for the season, and it's fantastic. I will be out in time for Halloween Im sure.

Elizabeth (Lizzy) Garozzo is a session singer and a friend of VoicePlay. She has performed with the Voices of Liberty at Epcot for years, she's been part of Toxic Audio with Geoff many years ago, and she's been performing on Disney Cruiselines and Disney Events many times. She also plays the cello. I see others have mentioned already which VP videos she's been in, so I won't repeat that. 🙂

Actually they should be releasing their Halloween offering within a week. I thought this one was Halloween too! Liz and Geoff both worked at Disney so he and VoicePlay knows what she can do. When we told her that she sounded like an opera singer, she said "Only when Layne asked it of her." She is good. If you do Just Sing, make sure you have the captions on. It is a video from 2 or 3 years ago of the people who sang with VoicePlay, were early members of VoicePlay, niece or nephew of VoicePlay, but will tell you who they are and their claim to fame. I'd like for them to do an updated one. They do get the best guest singers!

The 'Silliness' near the end with Cesar's 'gas', Geoff wiping his mouth, Eli's sneeze and Layne's burp....to me....was VERY reminiscentof Spike Jones and the City Slickers from the 1940's and 50's.....>^^

Yep, it's (for me, of course) one of the most funny among their videos, and although it has all the characteristics of an Halloween thing, I'm not so sure it isn't just a teaser... 😉😁
Elizabeth Garozzo (pronounce it more like "Ga-ro-tzo" - I hope I got the phonetics right, here 🙄 - ) has already performed in a few Voiceplay videos, she just didn't appear. You can find her name in the credits of their Frozen 2 Medley, Greatest Showman medley, and maybe another couple videos, but she's always as "voiceover", and as I read she did especially the super-high notes. 🙂

You are one of the few reactors that actually knew the piece before it started playing. Leave it to VoicePlay to take a classical piece and turn it inside out and come up with pure comedy. Each time a person add something to the pot and takes a sip, their voices mutate.
Layne is known as the trickster of the group so it’s only appropriate that he uses one of his famous carrots to wipe out his buddies. And it’s only fair that he gets wiped out too!
He lost power in Hurricane Ian so editing the final edit of their Halloween piece has been slightly delayed. Patrons were treated to an extensive behind the scenes so we have a pretty good idea of what we’re going to be saying and they released the audio tracks to us as well. They were pretty quickly so I’m hoping it will be out within the week.
Jeff just released his Halloween piece today ( October 1.) The Halloween offerings aren’t always jack-o’-lanterns 🎃and black cats🐈⬛ . But they always have some tie to the spooky season. All three of his offerings are great. The Headless Horseman is from the 50s era Disney film The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and everybody knows the Monster Mash (which has to tiny little snippets of classical music in it as well.) This year’s is Ghost Riders in the Sky and he is positively creepy- or at least his clones are.
Layne loves to use that carrot in a lot of their videos. Notice how he puts the carrot in the pot & everyone disappears. Now, this is where people get confused. Some say it is Eli's finger Elizabeth plucks away from the pot but it is an orange carrot he is holding that she plucks out of his hand. If you slow down the video you can clearly see that he is holding an orange carrot. Because she knows if he puts the carrot in the pot they will all disappear. Eli later puts a hot pepper in the pot & when he taste the brew he gets steam coming out of his ears.. Cesar loves to torment Layne so he is very sneaky & puts something in the pot & gives a spoonful to Layne to get him drunk then slaps him on his back. Eli throws the little version of himself that was singing on his shoulder in the pot. During the filming of the video Cesar's ears kept falling off.
Voiceplay has a second channel, Voiceplay Minis. They do short pieces, 30 seconds to 2 minutes long. They are based in Orlando, so we were worried about them this week. They let us know that they were hunkering down and knew how to take care of themselves. Geoff let us know today that they did not lose power or internet, so all was good. They released three new minis that they already had cooking. I believe, but am not positive, that they have another piece coming out for Halloween. I heard that from a patron at a higher level than me. Fingers crossed.
And Geoff has a Halloween piece coming in a few days. Forewarned is forearmed. 😉

Ghost Riders In The Sky
So nice that you got to this one already! If you do their “Kidnap the Sandy Claws” you will recognise the masks hanging in the trees in this one. As others have mentioned, Geoff has a new one coming, probably on Friday. I’m used to both his and VoicePlay’s Halloween songs being funny, but Geoff’s new one isn’t really. It’s quite serious, but sounds awesome! and the makeup is Halloween-inspired. I think and hope you’ll like it!
I think Elizabeth and Geoff worked together at theme parks (sb please correct me if I’m wrong).

How do you like Layne's style in arranging music for Voiceplay? This one is a great example, and if compared with Hoist the Colors shows the difference between him and Geoff who arraigned that one. I like both their styles, but Layne seems to be willing to take more risks. He has a great ideas, and usually he knows what he's does.
From what I'm observing (and this is not a slight against Geoff AT ALL), Layne seems to have rather unique musical sensibilities, which make for delightfully unexpected moments. Looking forward to hearing more from him! - Cole

Near the beginning, Eli sang with a high opera type voice. That is only one of his great voices. Later he sang quite low. There is a video out showcasing many of his voices he uses for VoicePlay.
Hulda Draco has a series of videos on them as a group and as individuals. I learn something every time.
