Boss should re-issue this. It has just the right stuff without all the extra nonsense compared to later pedals. It’s perfect for the growing group of solo performers at bars and restaurants.
15 years now, and it still seems like the right blend of what it has and what it doesn’t have. So many of today’s pedals are more individualized, or have way more than most performers would need.
The harmonies here sounds very good. I wish it would have a video where we could learn how to set up the backings to sound like that because always when I try to do by myself the backing vocals sounds too artificial :S
Does anyone know the settings she’s using in the video? The display shows “Preset 31 - Studio Verb” - but that isn’t one of the factory presets. Just sounds so smooth.
Hey Boss… can we please get an update/upgrade to the VE-20? It’s a great pedal but I’d sure like to see an update. I use the left pedal as bypass and the right pedal as harmony on/off. Maybe let me bluetooth in with my phone to select among my saved patches versus me having to bend over and twist the knob between songs?? Or give us the ability to plug in an additional foot switch at least??
How long has this been out? I think it's been out for some years now. I'm looking for something battery operated just like this and Roland/Boss are my favorite sounding pedals. I want to get the best and the newest technology Boss has for portable vocal processing.

With the bigger boss loop Station, you can save different layers in a bank, just like guitar fx devices work, and turn them on/off, change fx aso. The VE-20 got only one live-loop channel without any saving function, but it is still a great tool for live performances.

Shame it doesn't have the true versatility shown here UNLESS you don't play an instrument, have it on a stand, and can control the know to switch between presets. Just bought it, but question my decision as a solo artist.

Saxophone Hero - BattleKAT - Kaden Andrew Thompson I think they’re designed for use with a PA - either the type they usually have in venues or something like the Fender Passport, though there are loads of other (better) cheaper options, it’s worth a bit of research!

I liked it till she kicked in the harmonies. The intervals seemed off. She sounded on, but one or two of the harmonies sounded either flat or wrong, as in major instead of minor or vice versa. Does this trigger off the guitar chord? He was on too. Nice verbs and doubles though.
Did you ever find the accessory stand for this unit? I'm going to buy it, but the stand in the video looks perfect. I checked the BOSS site and they don't have any info for it. thanks

Oh, you can switch between scenes with the pedals, you don't need to use the knob.
@@AntonioMeres yeah but I’m already using the pedals for different purposes (bypass and harmony on/off).
It doesn’t matter now though. I’ve upgraded to the 500. I have five foot switch choices now.

If you record different layers with the loop can you save them on the system so you don't have to play the different layers every single time?

Decent enough pedal, with the harmonies you have to make sure you sing bang on pitch as if ur out only a tad it can make them sound crappy!

People need quality reverb.we buy a JBL prxone & the reverb is nothing more than a cheep $10 guitar amplifier.now we have to buy a quality reverb
