- Because I know someone will mention it below - yes, I do know the game was made by GermanPeter, an ex?-TF2 TH-camr. Never heard of the guy prior to the game, and I mention the devs more in Part 2 during the credits. Peter and his team did a grand job on this, taking 5 years of work. It's a helluva game. Hope you guys enjoy!

Hey, developer of the game here! There is no dev team actually, I made all of this by myself, only using online tutorials for help. However, I did have an artist who made most of the graphics, and two musicians who composed the music. The rest was all done by me, though :)
Anyhow, I'm really glad you gave the game a shot :) Not familiar with your channel, but you seem to have had a good time, and that makes me glad!
As for the feedback, that's very much appreciated, but I can't guarantee I'll implement any of it for now. I'm focusing on making TH-cam videos now and have put TF2 behind me. But if I do decide to update the game one day, I'm sure I'll implement some of the things you suggested!
I'm also looking forward to your reactions to the rest of the game :) Hope you'll enjoy it!
P.S.: It's hilarious seeing someone actually get tricked by the Specialists blowing themselves up when you execute them!

This is a combination that was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
It works way better than it has any right to. See also: "Hotline Fortress 2: Wrong Number".
Rimmy's vocal range really gets insane as he warms up.
All those years doing anime stories with Zoran and the girls is making Rimmy into a pretty good voice actor.

Except one notable error I saw:
Demo's parents are alive, and his mother chastises him for *only* working 3 jobs at the same time despite being an independently wealthy man in his own right
@@Kaarl_Mills I figured that Demo was lying or at least it would become a plot point later on
It's actually not. The story intentionally deviates from TF2's, mostly because this is an alternate universe. RED and BLU aren't even a thing here, let alone Gray Mann, Saxton Hale, or anything of the sort.
I just took these characters and put a little spin on their stories and backstories.

Love the little details where Spy almost says his son’s real name before quickly changing it to Scout
I know TF2 is only just getting some admin/dev love. But please let us appreciate not only that fan games like this exist, but that they're allowed to when the TF2 killers are having to strangle fan content and make shitty stand-alone expansions in a desperate bid to stay relevant. Proves to me that imitations to genius can never compare so long as the master does not rest on their laurels.
Well this game looks fucking brilliant. The plot, the mechanics, hell, even the relationships between the mercenaries are absolutely awesome !

My name is Tavish Finnegan DeGroot. I am 33 years old. My house is in Ullapool, Scotland, where all the castles are, and I am not married. I work as a mercenary for Reliable Excavation Demolitions, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don’t smoke, but I always drink. I pass out at 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a bottle of scrumpy and doing about twenty minutes of stumbling before passing out, I usually have no problems sleeping until afternoon. Just like a baby, I wake up with a hangover in the morning. I was told I had a cursed eye socket at my last check-up. I’m trying to explain that I’m a person who wishes to be a good demoman. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning or losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn’t lose to anyone.
I like how the weird shit that happens in Hotline Miami 1 and 2 is limited to only pyro in this because he is the only one who would see something like that.

The reveal of who the interviewer is in the second episode, makes the Pyro interview even more hilarious and worrisome.
I love the homoerotic tension that exists between some of the characters.

Was hoping someone would make a review on this, I really liked it, even though it has its issues (range being determined my mouse, Explosions lasting longer then the animation)
I still like it, as you can understand the story isn't the exact same as TF2's story, and that it's a fan-game... So not the highest quality, it's really great.
Saw this in its development cycle for quite awhile, wasn't expecting to see it here.

I love the fact that pyro basically lived three different lifetimes in the same one, died in a house fire, potentially caused that very house fire, worked for the army, was a chef, stole from a gas station, commited a war crime (They use a homemade flamethrower, the military doesn't allow homemade or custom weapons and if therefore a war crime), all in the same timeline

I want it to be a fanfic that Demo and Soldier are romanticly involved and Soldier just doesn't realize that it goes that deep yet he still cares deeply.

Medic is an artificial JoJo.
So the Demoman had adoptive parents who died trying to kill the Loch Ness Monster. After he developed bomb skills, his real parents showed up and explained that all Degroots are abandoned at birth until their skills show up and are then taken back into the family for real training.
Last I recall, Demoman's birth parents were both blind. The father was dead and his mother was a crotchety old woman complaining about how Demoman still had 1 good eye and only 3 jobs.

of all the backstories in this, I have to say Pyro is the one that I wanted to know the most. THe others are somewhat knowable, but him...even the interviewer has no idea what he is
Considering who he interviewer is, and what resources he should have acces to, the fact that all he can is scream at Pyro demanding to know "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU!?" is kinda scary.
