Can we PLEASE get the intros to the podcast on these videos, ESPECIALLY on episodes like this where the intro has such valuable resources and links for people affected by the wildfires. I understand that the intros are recorded separately to the rest of the episode, but other podcasts I listen to that record in the same way will just have the audio and a thumbnail for the first few minutes, sometimes with a “video starts at…” with a timestamp. Not to mention the intros are just enjoyable, it’s nice to have a little conversational bit with Chelsea and Catherine, it’s a familiar and comfortable stepping stone to the guest, especially if the guest is one I don’t know or don’t jive with. Age joyfully - i frickin LOVE IT!!😍 I am 50-yrs old and am going thru perimenopause as well. I refuse to color my hair, I am proud of the greys....earned every single one of them, lol!
I love Brooke. I'm a year younger than her. To me Brooke was perfect, everything about her. When she revealed her post-partum depression & had crazy Scientologist Tom Cruz attack her we seen a side we haddened ever seen. And she was Fierce. I don't for moment think Brooke cared what T C thought of her experience but she cared about women & their birth experiences & their risks. She really stood up for new mothers & their health. Just look how beautiful she is. She doesn't look 20, she shouldn't. I see her & others like Mariska Hargitay, Pam Anderson who've put the beauty of women aging & aged women far beyond what we look like. Even if one doesn't look the best or feel the best, we are the best because we're our best in all our wisdom.
Sitting with Brooke's answer to not doing the performance with Cynthia because she wouldn't be able to soar and wondering if we can't take on new adventures, pleasures, and get love from an audience unless we are exceptional? That feels, to me, like a vestige from toxic American exceptionalism that tells us that only the 1% deserve applause or good experience, and if you aren't that, you are taking from someone else who is which is the most impoverished mindset we can have. Loved this conversation so much, thank you!
Hi I hear and understand your valid perspective. I heard Brooke's perspective differently - but only because I'm seeing through the lens of my own life experience. I say YES to a lot of experiences, even when I might be rubbish at them, I give them a go. I find that as I approach 60, it's really empowering to take a beat, look inside, and say NO to things I may have thought I wanted, but in actuality, I don't want or need. For me it is definitely a positive thing. Nuanced and personal to each of us.
I have so much admiration for Brook. I am amazed at how she has handled all her fame, trials and tribulations. Brook, you are a great role model for so many woman.
I am not liturgical in general. But someone please tell me she sued Dr. “I threw in a rejuvenation.” That was an unwanted, surprise medical procedure performed without her consent.

I couldn’t stop staring at whatever she’s done now to her lips that has made her mouth look funny. But everyone is doing it. Nikki laser changed her whole face before the Golden Globes. Chelsea isn’t overdoing it and praising duck clips but she’s doing that weird thing where they inject too much around her mouth, the way her mouth moves . I feel guilty even saying anything. Because I’ve been reading nasty comments about Chelsea for almost 2 decades. People have been so mean to her online about her looks.
I love your show and also how honest Brooke Shields is - amazing interview! I started in the skin care industry when I was 18 years old and by the time I was 38 years old I was very senior in a well known LA based skin care brand. I was told I was becoming too old to understand Women's skin issues so at forty I decided to start my own business since I was aging out of my industry. I was met with great challenges and had more than a few industry colleagues ask me why I was still in the skin care business and almost overnight I become invisible. Every time someone would ask me what I do for work, a look of confusion would come over their face when I said I was in the skin care industry. For years I felt ashamed that I had aged and all I could think was how sad it is that culturally we have been lead to believe that Woman are worthless after forty. Thank you so much for having these conversations, it feels hopeful and that there is still so much life ahead of us aging Woman. 💞🌻
