Can we talk about the actual sincerity when Logan tells Greg he likes him? He's taken a shining to him since the beginning (I suppose in part because it messes with Ewan, but it feels sincere).
Also I FELT Chris's pain during "L to the OG" 🤣🤣🤣
I like how Logan and Ewan both use Greg to fight each other, but in their own way they are offering Greg good guidance. Ewan preaches to Greg to be a more ethical person, while Logan tells him he shouldn't let other boss him around. Both probably think they're helping him, both both are acting selfishly, but somehow there is a lesson there.
You’re right, Logan loves control; he essentially made Shiv pick him over the political career working for the politician Gill. She quit because she didn’t need it anymore knowing that he was backing her for CEO… or so she thought.
However, I do believe Logan loves his children and desperately wants one of them to succeed him but he has high expectations/tough love and the children fail to gain his validation.

I'm about to watch the full length reaction, and I genuinely laughed at the glee in Chris' face when he realized he could skip the intro since there was no cold open. It's definitely a long theme song, but it's the GOAT theme song and I refuse to skip it because it's so good. At least this time them skipping it isn't an inconvenience.
I'm assuming they've also missed the great joke that's hidden in one of the chyrons during the intro. Maybe they'll finally catch it during the finale.

Agree with Pat. Ewing acts so self righteous but you live a wealthy lifestyle because of what Logan has done. Even if they started it together as a newspaper Logan turned it into a multi-billion dollar company and that’s the reason you can threaten to take $250 million for your grandson.
Pat with the insight! Regardless of whether Ewan did put money into it or was given a hand-out by Logan, he is currently benefitting from the very thing he talks down on. He voted for Logan in the vote of no confidence so had the opportunity to usher in a change. He presents himself as high and mighty and a very principled man but when push comes to shove he's like the other people around Logan too (they all feel like they need him).
I mean he's literally giving all his money to charity no? I don't get the impression he lives a wealthy lifestyle, he just has a lot of money and he's giving it away

They don’t show too much about his lifestyle but we already know he doesn’t like to fly on planes. I assume he lives a very modest life and spends most of his time supporting environmentalist causes. Of course without Logan he’d likely not own land and would have to work a normal job, but while he comes off as a bit pretentious I think he’s easily the most moral person in the family

Call me a misogynist but at this point in the series i really hated Shiv. She was willing to throw her whole family under the bus for that Pierce job and then when it backfired on her she wants her whole family’s support. I don’t know how you Normies handle her I hated her from S2 onward.
I'm watching it a second time through with the Normies and I'm actually a lot more sympathetic to her cause now; she had options outside of the family like in politics but the sway of the 'carrot' from her father drew her into the family business and give up on her political career.
Shiv clearly thinks she's the smartest in the room, and she might be right too, but that doesn't make other people dumb. IDK if she overestimates herself or underestimates everyone else i.e. her not wanting to do the management course/training that Roman obliged or trying to take part in Ken and Logans' negotiations during Safe Room.
However, where I am sympathetic is that it's clear Logan values his boys for being boys more than his favourite child... she may even be his favourite child because she is a girl? But Shiv has clearly been brought up in an environment to always look for other options or a plan B since she either gets overlooked for her priority / plan A or does not think it's attainable i.e. when Logan first offered it to her at the Summer Palace.
Did you like Shiv in the first season? I thought she was pretty terrible even back then. None of them family truly seems likable. I can feel empathy for them, but they are all selfish, do shitty things to each other and other people, and always seem entitled.
@@Jjop017 liking Shiv is a strong statement but no I don't think she's this evil daddy's girl that everyone makes her out to be; she has a protagonist's story herself she goes through an arc just like Kendall and Roman.

I wasn’t sure what Shiv did that was much worse this second season that she didn’t do in the first season to have them deem the second season made them hate Shiv. She mistreated Tom and is self interested. At the same time her brothers are just as self interested and mistreat people too. The Roys are nuanced characters and the series does a great job in getting the audience to empathize with them, even when they are at the worst.
@@Jjop017 The only bad thing she did in S1 was cheat on Tom. I consider that to be icky but it wasn't enough for me to hate her. I think because I have a more free spirit view on sex compared to some people. It was when she smeared Gil in that car ride in S2 that I really started to dislike her. Gil set her up on a pedestal and as soon as she gets another offer from someone else she throws the first relationship back at their face. And she did it in such a nasty way as well I mean Gil is a public figure running for president and she basically described him as a sex whore. It was such a repulsive and nasty blow and made me dislike her instantly.
Ewan worked with logan before he just left and stop coming to work when he couldn't stand what Logan was doing and stood for. He's still on the Board of the company he just doesn't show up unless something big is happening. The money he has is from his time working but he did work for a company logan made. so I get what yall are saying.
