Let’s look at it this way both lions and Vikings can agree. This is the only playoff game where both teams can win or lose , but still have a playoff spot the following weeks , man what a winning hand, no, what a blessing. I am a Viking fans so go Vikings.
It's crazy in our lifetime we have a week 18 14-2 vs 14-2 VIKINGS vs LIONS...... This may never happen again. Enjoy it fellas! Skol to the bowl baby make it run through THE BANK
Ive been a Vikings fan my whole life. Im happy for the lions fans. After all the years the lions sucked, they now have a great team to cheer for. But again, im Vikings fan. So i would love to see the Vikings win decisively this Sunday night. Go vikes ! SKOL!!!
14:32 'because everyone has a cheese drawer,' made me f-ing spit coffee everywhere. I know there is a meat/cheese drawer in many fridges, but I imagined one next to the silverware drawer, mixed with batteries and bag clips.
It’s crazy how we are underdogs first game against the lions we had no cashman or hockenson they are game changers. We are 13-0 with cashman and he is a vital piece to the run defense.
Vikings fans know all too well, not to assume anything. The 1998 team was on a fire path to the SB. Then, ironically, by the time the NFC championship game came around, their defense was decimated with injuries. I believe only 4 starters from the original cast were participating in that game. Including John Randle. We all remember how that went.
You are absolutely right! Winning the Super Bowl requires a lot of stars to align, and that includes (as Andy says it..) "no alien abductions". As is the case with other pro sports, the season is a marathon & a real 'battle of attrition'. Since the institution of salary caps in all pro sports, it is impossible for teams to stockpile starting calibre players in most 2nd & 3rd string positions, so, even the loss of one key starter can sink a team's chances (*) (**) (*) e.g. as we saw last year, when Kirk Cousins' injury ruined an extremely promising season... (**) which is one reason why Kwesi A-M has been a freakin' genius this year. Not only has he had a ridiculously good FA season & good draft day, but the Vikes lost their all-pro LT, and Kwesi A-M's replacement for Darrisaw has enabled the offence to continue to function at a pretty good level & continue to win games.
@@HoneyPiss I still want revenge from Super Bowl four I was watching that game, can we please have the Kansas City Chiefs one more time an the Vikings will not upset them, they have the manpower to beat them no strings attached (by the way, I saw the other three against Miami, Pittsburgh, and Oakland, perhaps with the young team, we have now an about to get we will get a chance to repay them also , but first, let’s get the first one.
Zimmer would destroy Caleb Williams career by completely ignoring him and diverting all cap and draft picks to the defense. He should never be a head coach again.
For whatever reason, probably b/c the east coast media being butt hurt over Darnolds' failure in NY, he doesn't get the respect he undoubtedly deserves.
To all of the Vikings fans out there who believe that this is our year...let me tell you a story...I'm a loooong suffering Vikings fan from Miami FL and back in the day when Sam Darnold came out of the draft, i was talking to a co worker of mine at the time who just happened to be a Jets fan and he asked me what I thought of the pick and I told him that I thought that they had lucked out that they were able to get him.. .sometime later I don't exactly remember when I was talking to another co worker about the state of the Dolphins defense and I remember saying that I thought Andrew van Ginkel was a helluva player and when the whole Brian Flores deal was going down I distinctly remember commenting that I thought they were losing a helluva of a coach. The stars have aligned. WE WILL BE SUPER BOWL CHAMPS THIS YEAR. it's in the bag...😮 and did I forget to mention that the Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup Finals last year?......
I agree, I got upset early in the season when the Vikes weren’t getting their due but now, I don’t like the media heads giving them their due. Ahh to be a Vikings fan.
With the winner getting the 1 seed I think this game could be the game that launches the winner to the superbowl if the winner doesn't over focus on the fact they will fave the cheifs in said superbowl
Three thoughts: 1. I agree 100% with Andy's Top 5 QBs. Quite simply, Dan Pissuta is the poster child for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. Didn't his family & high school guidance counsellor tell him that he knows squat about football? lol 2. Regarding 14 predictions by the sports journalists: At least the fools who picked the Lions showed some respect for the Vikes, e.g. none think the Lions will win by more than 3 points. That wouldn't have been the case before this year, so even the naysayers are beginning to 'see the light'! 3. I feel confident that the Vikes will play well & they can beat the Lions...but I must confess that I am quite worried about the officiating. I have spent far too many football seasons watching 'league favourites' & 'media favourites' get help from the refs at key moments in games. I really hope that the officiating is accurate, consistent & fair, so the result can be accepted by fans of both teams!
@@kevinanders9479So its not an objective standard but more of a subjective standard? Like a 38-27 Viking win would be crooked numbers by any reasonable standard, but to the Jabronie media and Lions fans, those would not be judged to be crooked numbers but rather "a close game"?
"The Lions aren't going to the Superbowl either" Never say never! Vikings chances of making it to the big dance hinges on two factors. 1. Sam Darnold 2. Home field advantage. Sam Darnold has never played in a playoff game let alone has won one. He will have to go into a hostile environment and face a very hungry team who is bent on securing both the division and Home field through out. Its going to be a close game, but the edge goes to the Lions for the simple reason that Goeff has playoff and Superbowl experience and because Ford field is going to be very electric.

I think if we can contain Gibbs, we'll win, but easier said than done. He's really elusive, but we got Cashman this time.
Vikings gonna make a statement on Sunday.
Lions will not win another game. They'll lose Sunday and they'll lose their first playoff game.

I hate that everyone is picking the Vikings. They seem to be a great underdog.
Usually when they all love one team they get their butts handed to them. Hope not as a Vikings fan.
This is where it gets dangerous. We're a better underdog then favourite for sure. Makes this game a bit scary
