Samsung is copying Apple in literally every way. Wide phones with flat edges. No curved displays. Square watch that literally looks like Apple watch ultra. Removed 10x lens for 5x lens. Copied Airpods design. Removed chargers from box. There's certainly more but these came off the top of my head. They've not focused on improving their product quality either. The galaxy watches are laggy and step count is out of whack sometimes. The foldables have hardly improved in many years. And meanwhile, prices are skyrocketing. Samsung has their priorities set in the wrong place. As a long time Samsung user, if I wanted something more like an Apple product, I'd just buy it from Apple. I'm looking to switch now more than ever.

They made this cool round smartwatch, but then they changed it to a square design just like Apple. They even made their own version of AirPods and got rid of the headphone jack and charger, just like Apple did. Samsung is not what it used to be, man. They're turning into "Sampple."

That is a disappointing leak. The dial is the best part of Samsung watches. The Apple watches crown causes your hands to cover the screen while you're scrolling through the ui. That dial is not only satisfying but the best idea for navigation ever on a smart watch 😢

That's it, I'm getting the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Is there anything special this Ultra watch has up it's sleeve to justify the price? That's why we buy these things, to track health, pay and such not just tell the time and look pretty. Oh yeah it's 47mm....and I can't wear that....too big.
To be fair ,although I like the rotating bezel, I hardly ever use it on the 6 classic ,I just swipe the display most of the time. I do hope the strap is similar to apples fitting ,I can't stand the little pins on the 6 classic , the way apple Stop Fits is better. I do like the design of the 7 ultra. I can't wait to trade my 6 classic in for it.
So Samsung's new direction is to became Apple with android, in every possible way. They gave up the innovation and doesn't try to distinguish their products, maybe because they dont want to compete in the field of innivation, they want to compete by giving people the option to buy Apple products with android and the Samsung name tag on them. At this point im pretty sure that the S25 Ultra is gonna be almost the same as iPhone 16 pro max with S-pen.

Hey Sal, I hate to say it but the minimal design change of the Fold 6, combined with the absolute crappy design of the watch 7 Ultra means that I’m going back to the iPhone this fall. I’m not dropping the amount of change that Samsung is wanting when they say they “Can’t have S-Pen support on the outer screen because it’d make it too thick”, when companies like Huawei not only have their pen working on both screens, they’re much thinner, the crease is damn near invisible, and I’m ready to own a phone that “just works”, doesn’t freeze, and doesn’t slow down all the damn time. Sorry Samsung, YOU LOSE this round. Keep up the great work man!

as a Samsung user who has a Watch and buds pro 2, i agree. i overall feel like Samsung should have just changed some things, like the case desing of the buds pro 2, very annoying to open the buds case with one hand. and overall i think samsung is slowly losing the very thing that made them different from apple.

honestly i am really disappointed by recent design trends in samsung. take a look back in 2020s, samsung phones has differentiating features like curved display, slim bezels, 20:9 aspect ratio where as apple with thick yet symmetrical bezels, flat, 19.5:9 ratio, flat edges and it feels like they have choosen different ways. but Samsung ditched curved display in 2021(normal), 2024(ultra), 19.5:9 from S22 series(also matching screen sizes), flat edges and buttons in 2024. the only differentiating factors remained are vertical camera layout and position of buttons and speaker

The Watch 7 is alright; that design is timeless. However, whether the Ultra really depends on your opinion. I like that it looks nice and beautiful, but it's still an Apple thing to do if the bezel isn't rotating. The same goes for the buds. Why would I have to pay for something that looks like an Apple product when I'm a Samsung fan? I really wanted to upgrade my entire Samsung ecosystem this year, so I got myself an S24 Ultra, but as it looks like, I'm going to stick to my original Buds Pro and Watch 5 Pro.
I cannot fathom why Samsung once again has decided to leave off the rotating bezel from their Ultra??? Why Samsung? Is it simply not in your heart to allow customers a huge battery AND a rotating bezel? You do realize that is your design innovation and much loved by your loyal customers? One day my earbuds didn't work anymore so I had to buy a new pair and because I had a little bit cash to burn, I bought the Bang & Olufsen BeoEx. What a difference in qualilty. Buds I’m fine with steam adds a lot .. currently using IPhone and AirPods Pro 2.. amazing sound and I think having that more real estate allows for better quality. The watche again currently using the Apple Ultra. But nothing will ever beat the round rotating bezel.. nothing

I'm still not certain as to why Samsung don't do for a squared design. Square screens contain more information and very likely sit better on the wrist. Think they're concerned about it looking like an Apple product but who really cares, functionality is everything.

I will just keep my gw6 classic and wait for the next apple watch ultra instead. Thats an awful decision copying apple and slightly make the design unique. I am much more excited for the galaxy ring to complete my samsung ecosystem. They should prioritize the chip and software of the galaxy watch since the android watch is still inferior compared to apple watch.

Not having a dial would be terrible. I have a very hard time using watch5 pro without a dial in wet environments. They follow Apple in everything so why not in the dial also which is really useful.

The ultra will still rotate on the bezel. Why would you also need that little side button to rotate?

The same goes for the buds. Why would I have to pay for something that looks like an Apple product when I'm a Samsung fan?
I really wanted to upgrade my entire Samsung ecosystem this year, so I got myself an S24 Ultra, but as it looks like, I'm going to stick to my original Buds Pro and Watch 5 Pro.
I cannot fathom why Samsung once again has decided to leave off the rotating bezel from their Ultra??? Why Samsung? Is it simply not in your heart to allow customers a huge battery AND a rotating bezel? You do realize that is your design innovation and much loved by your loyal customers? I mean even the Watch 5 had a “digital dial” as lame as it was, from the reports this one doesn’t even do that, why? And without even a rotating crown it’s not even as functional as the low end standard Watch 7! Serious fail Samsung. If you had just included your trademark feature on this ultra I think I’d be all in for it. As it is, I guess I’ll pick up a Galaxy Watch 6 Classic on one of the big discount deals. I still LOVE my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and it works incredibly well even after all these years, I was holding out for the 7 and the 32GB of storage to bring it up to par with other watches, and was intrigued at the Ultra. It never occurred to me Samsung would once again leave off the rotating bezel, we thought you had learned that lesson with the 5! If you aren’t going to include it on your watches then at least release the patent or trademark so other watches can use it, please!
I hope they don't come out with the square body design without a rotaing dial? Looks unfortunately like they are?
Samsung, my concern about the expected higher price tag of upcoming Watch 7 Ultra. I observed that you are following Apple's lead and price tag, but the quality, software fluidity, and sensor measurements of your products do not justify the higher price tag.

I always used the old samsung earbuds from my brother. He always wants the latest an greatest. One day my earbuds didn't work anymore so I had to buy a new pair and because I had a little bit cash to burn, I bought the Bang & Olufsen BeoEx. What a difference in qualilty. I didn't know music could sound that good. I'm curious if Samsung can surpass Bang and Olufsen with their new earbuds...

Buds I’m fine with steam adds a lot .. currently using IPhone and AirPods Pro 2.. amazing sound and I think having that more real estate allows for better quality.
The watche again currently using the Apple Ultra. But nothing will ever beat the round rotating bezel.. nothing

I'm still not certain as to why Samsung don't do for a squared design. Square screens contain more information and very likely sit better on the wrist. Think they're concerned about it looking like an Apple product but who really cares, functionality is everything.
God damn it. I got the Watch 5 Pro without the Rotating Bezel. Now I was waiting for the Watch 7 and you're telling me still no bezel? If they actually leave it out, guess I'm gonna have to wait for watch 8 or 9. I remember they removed it on the 5 and after the huge backlash they added on the 6.
Samsung Watch Gear Sport 2018 is the same design as the 7 Ultra, it must first inform you before giving false news that Samsung copied Apple.

I will just keep my gw6 classic and wait for the next apple watch ultra instead. Thats an awful decision copying apple and slightly make the design unique. I am much more excited for the galaxy ring to complete my samsung ecosystem. They should prioritize the chip and software of the galaxy watch since the android watch is still inferior compared to apple watch.
Really disappointed with the new lineup, I was really looking forward to get watch 7 classic but there's no classic. Maybe I'll just get watch 6 classic

Sorry, but apple products look the way they do because they actually work. And have algorithms that actually are accurate. Samsung products at least used look better, but now that's not the case. And it really makes you want to switch to apple in october. Everything in their lineup this year looks really bad.
Last time, you mentioned that they're making a squricle design just for that rotating bezel, and now, we learn that there is not? So why don't samsung just make the display bigger to fill the square design? Something doesnt make sense to me!

I am about to upgrade my watch active 2. If the 7 series dissapoint, I'll either go for watch 6 or Pixel watch 2
Not having a dial would be terrible. I have a very hard time using watch5 pro without a dial in wet environments. They follow Apple in everything so why not in the dial also which is really useful.
If the dial doesn't work they should have made the screen bigger right to the edges...

If the Watch 5 bands don't work with the 7 I'm not upgrading. I've got a lot of different colored bands.
