D23/ Np300 Boost Solenoids

- I went searching on how to clean the little filter in the boost solenoids that clogs up and stops them from working. unfortunately i found nothing so i decided to try have a go my self and wow was it a lot easier then i thought. I have had many dramas with these and i didn't know that this little filter could cause so many issues. Hopefully this helps someone one out as its annoying when it happens but actually easy to try fix.

I just had an issue, when reaching full boost the car just kept cutting out, I just did this and it worked ! My nav is now running so good ! Thankyou so much for this video :)

Been looking for a video on this for a while, cheers heaps for making it! 1st time my cruise control went and they just reset it in the computer. 2nd time my cruise control and boost went and Nissan replaced the solenoids under warranty. 2 months ago my cruise control went and I'm out of warranty. Positioning of these are ridiculous. Will clean em for now but definately want to either move them up or move em into the airbox.
No problems at all hopefully it helped. Yeah that’s a great idea it’s a ridiculous setup considering it’s a 4x4 isn’t it.
Im so glad I found this! Mine feels like the small turbo has stopped boosting.. I dont have the extenders, and the filters were caked with dirt. Hoping to find out tomorrow when I re-fit the solenoids if the issue is solved. Thanks!

Mate, legendary effort. Just bought a twin turbo 2018 sl manual and she is a bit gutless in first and 2nd. Will give this a crack tomorrow. Cheers

I’ve got no CC currently on my 2021. Tried to flick the filter cap off but having no luck. Space is very tight. Any suggestions?

Hi, so if they have extended lines there is no filter on the actual solenoid, only on the top of the hoses??
Hi mate that is correct. No filter on the solidnoids just at the top end there.
Mine has done the same thing, I’ve done exactly what you said in the video but still have no boost and no cruise control. Any ideas on what I can do??
Oh bummer I’m guessing the solidnoid may have failed mate. Might be off to the shop to test that one. Thanks for watching

G'day mate, I had dramas with cruise not working after my airbox got water in it. I did the boost solenoids today after watching this video but it hasn't fixed my cruise control. Do you have any other ideas how to fix the cruise control?

Hey man , ahhh no good staino snorkel or just got unlucky ? Do you have a scan gauge or something similar? Even the Eds gauge will do it sounds like u need a reset man

would have thought extending the lines up into the clean side of the airbox would fix this issue permanently
I guess you could do that mate. Not a bad idea at all really
@@f.s.aearthmoving4x4 There's not ambient pressure inside the airbox. Would that conflict with the operation of the solenoids?
So what problems do you get if they are blocked? Low boost?
Soon as they block I lost cruise control then apparently it can turn into no boost. Silly spot they put them if you go offroad a lot really

Yeah nice see if they have done the extended lines for you. You will know tho if you lose cruise control it’s normally these little buggers
