    In this video we show some love to the old NP300, giving her a service and a check over. now servicing can be a daunting task to some but also can save you a lot of money in the long run.. money for mods that is ;)! I suggest to everyone to just have a crack at doing your own rigs and see how you go! my idea of it is that you will look after your own 4wd more than a shop would and go the extra mile! also in the video showing you guys the importance of running a catch can (IMO) if you guys have any more info I've missed with the catch can please share it in the comments not to only educate myself but help others out! hope this video helps some people out and thanks for watching :)

    Yo hi mate, question... It is nessesary to bleed air from the fuel filter after the change??? Old models of np300 used to have a manual pump on the top of the filter.
    And... Did you pre fill it??
    Great work dude.

      Over in nz we just dump the pipe s8 down onto the road, and block off the intake hole.
      Catch cans are a waste of time as the engine is still sucking in hot air

    The 2.3 twin turbo doesn’t need C4 only. Spec is C3 5W-30. In Australian climate you can use C3 5W-40.

    • @tungstentwohundredandtwent7007
      @tungstentwohundredandtwent7007 ปีที่แล้ว

      C4 provides way better protection for the DPF. Proven so many times.

    • @Skits_Missions
      @Skits_Missions ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tungstentwohundredandtwent7007 my official reply after working for oil companies would be to say No it’s isn’t as simple as that and you could cause longevity issues to the engine. Our recommendation would be to stick to the OEM recommendation. But my personal view is, if you think you know better than the engineers and oil companies, go for it! Knock your socks off.

    • @tungstentwohundredandtwent7007
      @tungstentwohundredandtwent7007 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was directly involved with this application as the OEM’s (Nissan) Australian lubricant supply partner. C4 is their Australian recommendation although it’s poorly communicated. C4 aligns with the Renault global RN720 spec (Renault motor in the D23) and there is no longevity issue in this application.

    • @tungstentwohundredandtwent7007
      @tungstentwohundredandtwent7007 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Skits_Missions I didn’t the notice the little smart arse final sledge in your reply until a second read. For somebody claiming to work in the oil industry that’s a highly unprofessional response. To improve your knowledge you could drop into your local Nissan dealer and check the OEM’s own product for the D23 Navara… mysteriously it’s a full syn 5W-30 ACEA C4.

  • @nastywing9628
    @nastywing9628 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey mate, What’s the deal with the C4 oil? Why do the Np’s only take that stuff? What if C3 goes in?

    • @yaamz7
      @yaamz7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The manual says to use c3, i havent had any dramas with it so far

    • @tungstentwohundredandtwent7007
      @tungstentwohundredandtwent7007 ปีที่แล้ว

      C4 is a lot kinder to DPFs, far less likelihood of contamination and blocking. No downside either.

    What do you mean “I wanna keep the factory airbox for warranty?” Isn’t your DPF in the bin right next to the factory warranty? 😂😂

    • @RoamLyfe
      @RoamLyfe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it would be a way out for them maybe but I meant more for saying water or dust got through the air box and destroyed the motor! Would be pretty hard for them to say the dpf delete done that! 😂
