Being edgy can be funny, being edgy with no deeper commentary and without understanding the people you’re talking about is a road to doom. He’s disconnected from reality, a quick way to be connected is to be accountable for edgy “jokes”. The real skill of being an edgy comedian is knowing where the line is not just saying whatever hateful crap pops into your head and then actually connecting that edginess with something meaningful. That’s not Schultz from what I’ve seen of him.
It’s the fact that people out here who call themselves “comedians” don’t even know and understand that comedy is an art. They just want to be hateful while still being considered a good person. It’s strange

The crazy thing is that no one is lamenting on enough is that Kendrick didn’t SAY ANYONE’S NAME! Gary Owen’s at one point made a comment as if he felt it was about him as well and went in on blk women too. If no one name was mentioned and this is Andrew’s response this is pure insanity.
I also think people struggle with comprehension because if you actually listen kdot is talking about the black men and other poc who sit and laugh along with those white comedians. So he was more talking about ash and the black guy (don't know his name) than Schultz
I honestly dont really get what the problem is. Sure the joke wasn’t funny. But why are black women not allowed to be made fun of? Comedians very often rely on stereotypes to make fun of a group of people. And they target everybody. So why are black women all of the sudden not able to take it? Equality means we either laugh about everybody or nobody.
I'll give an example for shultz like with the shits n giggles guy he made a joke about black women being aggressive and shit and that's been the agenda for years it's ok to make some stereotypical jokes but then you use one that black women have been trying to get off they name for decades it's the reason we can't get jobs it's the reason no one takes us seriously it's like making a joke about Jews and you use Hitler's main points about why Jews should disappear as the jokes when there's still thriving communities out there that whole heartily believe it an that's why I don't get most of these comments(not just yours) but people taking shultz side clearly know nothing about the black community much less black women and telling us how to feel about it
@Bradchoksondik I think it's cause historically the jokes are demeaning and unoriginal. Like most jokes on blk woman are punching down, if that makes sense. Like, yeah, you can make a joke, but after the 11th baby momma joke, she's petty joke, ect. The jokes get redundant and unfunny. And sounds lime the comedian has a gripe with blk woman rather than a actual joke to tell. Especially when they joke on blk woman as a 'group' than an individual experience. Like most comedians tell a story from a point of a lived experience or comparison, but if your just bringing up a lowbrow blk woman joke, when it has nothing to do with blk ppl or comparable to woman, it can be offensive. I hope that answers it.
My response to Schultz crying about people being mean to him online: "Peekaboo, why you actin' tough on IG Live? Peekaboo, you know my lil' niggas off they rocker"
He wasn’t crying he knows they’re all pussies. He was pointing out their hypocrisy by them commenting. I’m on his family pictures, but then he can’t tell jokes about black women without them crying so it’s a double standard. I don’t understand what standard means.
You can make fun of someone without disrespecting them or their culture. I'm a comedy nerd and I've seen it done. Andrew apparently doesn't understand that is what makes a comedian great.
90% of the pod is satire. They are mocking people who actually think that way. That's the 'inside joke' & why they double down. They have explained the 'joke' several times. (Personal opinion) I completely understand the outrage if u just watch a few clips without context. I understand falling for the bait.

Are you serious? There was literally a big controversy about the shits and gigs podcast guys who apologized publicly about this same thing

Carlin was intelligent. He wasn't blantantly racist, or sexist to piss people off. He told jokes to show the irony, and the hypocrisy of society.
That's the difference.
Irony. George Carlin wasn’t a comedian. Tell me a joke he said that was funny?
@@Eustaphios21 it's hopeless to try and educate people who can't grasp subtlety in context. they have the perception depth of a cavefish. they'll never be able to differentiate satirical commentary from an offensive, personally motivated agenda because they don't understand what the first is about to begin with. sadly i think you're right in that comedy is only subjective because so many people are dumb as hell.
@@Eustaphios21 Here we go again with that racist word. People like you are tiring. Every time someone criticizes a black person or trolls them is racism to you goofs. You’re weak-minded and annoying. Hey remember when Dave was making fun of trans people and the lgbt came for him? That’s what y’all doing to Andrew. You hypocrites.
This new generation of comedians is so bad
True I never liked comedians tbh
just not true is it. ralph barbosa, shane gillis, phil hanley, rene vaca are all hilarious

💯😂 The type to brag about ripping an 89 year old lady off with an extended warranty.
Bro he makes these jokes specifically cuz know this a topic the most ppl will react to. Its a troll and this video and everyone else flipping out is exactly what he wanted, he not trying to "get away with it". He just gonna lean in more
Andrew Schulz has never been funny. We were all thinking it, I just said it.
FACTS!
💯 🤷🏾♀️
Good thing that's just your opinion 😂 cause he's been selling out shows for years 👏👏👏
@@therealspeciesunknownPeople just want to be openly r@cist 😅 Thats not the same as being funny. See: Andrew Dice Clay.
I don’t know, the beard cushion joke was pretty funny!😂🤷♂️
good choices with your clips. this was well done
It’s poorly crafted to make a comedian look bad and glaze a rapper. He skips the part where Andrew says rappers have the worst track record abusing women
according to this channel, so many people's careers ended years ago. So biased and "choosy".

He literally pointed out the fact that she was on a show saying she was 23 when she was apparently 16 so maybe find out the truth first
