This was a beautiful video. Saw Englebert twice in Michigan, Elvis once. Both of these super talented men put on extraordinary unforgettable shows. They have both sung this song, & both versions were great. I am grateful to have seen these beautiful men live. The young people have no idea what real talent is. So Sad!

Memories..each year, Enge did something to change his looks, and we would wait to see was in store. Saw him with dark hair, blonde hair, short curly hair, long pony tail, sideburns, no sideburns, mustache, beard, even a goatee, and always he did it to please his fans..This year, 41 years down the road, silver blonde hair, longer, and a weight loss that is stunning. The voice, God gave him, has changed, yes, but like his yearly looks, he was always totally amazing....love him with all my heart.

We had a stageside table for my 30th. birthday...the Caracas Hilton. He didn't have this blond hair, he was younger and more handsome. His manager or someone had told him it was my b'day, but b/c it's not on their playlist, he didn't sing it and I didn't think he would. He did look at me for a minute while he was singing "After the Lovin;"....my favorite! My pantyhose melted! The next morning, only my husband and I walked into a quaint little breakfast place on top of the hotel...there he was. Our eyes connected, and he nodded, "Good morning." Idiot me did not converse with him. Shoot. Will always regret that. I think he thought I didn't speak English...wish I had spoken and said we enjoyed the show...just something!! But, I cannot get greedy...I got to see him close-up twice. I love my dear husband, my soul-mate, but Englebert is one hunk, even now that he is older. I even think he's sexier b/c his wife has Alz., just like my husband. He adores her, as do I, my husband.
My mom so, so lived Englebert!! I was about 12 - 13 years old at that time. And still, today, he is a very gorgeous man in every way. Very polite, very conscientious about his work ethic, etc. I've NEVER heard a negative thing about him. ♥️♥️♥️
'Ole Hump was on top of the world as an entertainer/perfomer/audience pleaser and his appearance at that age *Whow* But It all disappears through the decades seemingly overnight. However, the memory/video of that very special limited time with Englebert at his prime, lives on forever. BRAVO!

I was there to see these shows, and sitting right up front. It was wonderful how Enge not only sang his fantastic songs, but his impressions were right on, and yes his famous stories, added such a warm touch to his shows. I am so happy that I 'found' Enge so very early in his career ~ and here we are 47+ years down the road! He is still singing his songs, recording - ( "Engelbert Calling" a 2 Cd album of Duets, sung with some of the most popular singers today ) ~ and appearing 'in person' at various venues in the U.S. and Canada. Go see one of his shows, if possible, he really gives it his all. xxx
I wish I could watch him perform. He had come to India in 2005 or 06 & I could not afford the ticket. I live to regret that day till now. I should have let my budget go to the dogs and just gone! :) I've grown-up listening to his song and as someone mentioned, I listen to him each day!
