That's what happened with A-Qing too though. She is drastically different and much more kind and altruistic to the core. He, however, happened to be extremely talented in the cultivation world and he allowed himself to be taken advantage of. It didn't cost him anything nor did it harm him in anyway. His actions and decisions were conscious and willing. He knew what he did was immoral and harmful to others, but he didn't care at all. He only had to care for himself, because he only ever had to fend for himself.
YOU SHOULD WATCH IT!! honestly its so well done, even if china slapped a no homo label on it haha it's still a great watch, tho! these two only get about 4 episodes, but the main couple is just as tragic, but with an actual happy ending (these two deserved one too ;__;) Thanks!!

Maybe im wrong but did XUE yang try to save him like Wei ying saved Wen ning? Honestly i dont think Xue yang hated XXC if so why would he try to save him? I just think that he felt so lonely and having xxc by his side made him truely happy They were amazing together

(I think, but it was 4 months ago when i read it (of course im planning to read it again ;) ))
I beg to disagree... Read the arc again. He definitely felt something for him, it was not your typical love because he didn't even know what love was... But from his actions after XXC killed himself and Wei Wuxian's words you will realize it...
