UNLOCK THE CHAIN BRAKE BEFORE YOU PUT THE CLUTCH DRUM BACK ON!!!!!!!!!!! Many cuts and curse words later...I watched a different video where its explained, after beating the crap out of the metal band with a screwdriver , trying to stick shims in it , grease on it , ect...for an hr to try and slide that clutch drum into that band.

Mine is just leaking oil... and not from the cap. It's producing too much. Any idea how to fix that?

Hey Grappler84, Maybe you got yours fixed by now as it's been a year but...I had the same problem with a brand new Poulan PR4016, pumping too much oil. After watching this video, I figured that the problem was most likely an incorrectly installed spring worm gear. Sure enough, when I got to it, it was compressed too tight. I spread it out similar to what Mr. FixIt showed in this video and voila !

As an OPE tech with 38 years of experience ...DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES do the repair with PLIERS or an impact...piston stops that fit in the spark plug hole sit on the side of the piston and lodge against the dome of cylinder in its thickest part...its a tool SPECIFICALLY made to not damage, or punch a hole through the piston. A piece of rope doesn't do that, it just jams wherever it wants and can damage the piston...DONT DO IT. do not use a threaded piston stop either. An impact can, and will SNAP the crankshaft in half. This is not the correct way to repair the saw.

I think he said no rope is needed when you use an impact the compression is enough. I agree a rope in the cylinder is risky and could break something.
