Thanks. I work as IT manager at a food processing company in Sweden. We picked Aptean as our ERP system. We will implement it in the autumn 2023. Really happy that it’s no. 1 on your list.

The most complex food planning and management is in the meat processors. i am sure that most of this systems suck there. things like "catch weight", "V-shaped BOMs", recepie based on item characteristics, even abattoir and cutting hall operations are probably beyond their scope

Thanks Eric, related to Food and Beverage it would be good to hear your opinion of PLM Software integrations with ERP

Great Video Eric. I would also mention that SAGE X3 is also prevalent in the F&B industry.
... couple of items I noticed on your video.
    1. When speaking about BatchMaster, your SAGE customer service comments are embedded in minutes 5:30 - 5:50.
    2. Video is scrambled between 17:25 - 17:30
Keep your videos coming. Great insights! Thanks!

I personally can not give a high recommendation to sage x3 mainly because of lack of assistance in building the batching and other requirements that the company I was Dir Mfg was facing as a startup. Although there are tons of online tutorials re:sage, we had to find them ourselves and basically felt after buying the initial software we were on our own.

Very interesting, however I am trying to understand an ERP system that has what must be a reverse MRP, the disassembly of a cow, chicken, or fish. Instead of planning components and assembling them into a product, the process is to take an assembly to produce components. There clearly would require attributes of size of weight of the starting "assembly". Are there notable ERP systems for the disassembly or perhaps white papers on the process?

    Hi Eric ,
Great video, thank you! Do you have recommendation for a wholesale business that imports Fresh produce? What are the best SOP and software for such business? Since the product is perishable and importing fresh produce further reduces the life of the product. It is hard to record transactions, have pricing controls and reflecting all transactions effectively in management accounts.
