This is actually a great setup, I am going to try to emulate the same setup and adjust a few things but I think this would be great and easier for our volunteers! Thank you
Nice setup, although you should be using macros for your songs and stuff instead of putting all those actions on there, much easier! Also, why do you have the Title Slide twice at the end of the sermon? If the media is a background it will already stay on the next slide you don't have to repeat it? Or do you do that for another reason?
Macros would be easier but at this stage with the volunteers it is working easier if they can see them all individually. As for the title slides it is to do with the livestream and in the room slides and looks applied to these. The pastor only wants the lower third up for a short time on the stream but to stay on the screen in the room so manually getting the volunteer to click next slide after 10 seconds or so was an easy work around for this to happen.
I've been using the propresenter software for years now, but I don't know what my role is called in a church. What are the tech people called in a church, Avl technicians?
I just moved from PP4 to PP7 in the same PC, however, can't figure out how to properly set all my library and media to be in a different drive and push those settings to the different users
Happy to try and help. Can you give me some more details on what you are trying to do? Are you wanting to take media used in pp4 and move it into pp7? Why do you want it in a different drive and what do you mean by pushing the settings to different users?
@@learnpropresenter Have one PC with multiple users, one is the Admin, where most Playlists, with format and backgrounds are set-up. This must the be accessible to the other non-admin users in the PC. The Main drive does not have enough space, so I need all media, lyrics, etc., to be in a second drive installed in the PC.
You will just have to create your folders in the correct place on your computer so that all users can access them. This depends on if you’re in mac or pc land. Propresenter creates its own folder structure so this needs to be installed in the right place with access to all users. I would then also setup a Smart Folder e.g a folder on your device that you then set as a Smart Folder in propresenter media bin as it will automatically pull the media from this folder into propresenter. This folder will just need to be placed where all users can access this in the file directory of your computer
@@learnpropresenter Thanks. Have a PC so I should delete all libraries in the Main drive and just try to get PP7 to pull all from Repository, will this insure all is saved as needed? This is where I keep stumbling.
I’m no windows expert but I’m guessing you need to install the program in the public folder and then set permissions for all users to have read and write access of that helps. This should then have the repository there in the right place automatically from the start too
