Heh Neuvillette has a little bit of that Zhongli problem where some of his attack sounds are a bit too strong for the character, but I accept them because it’s like 1 out of like 10 AMAZING ones. EN Neuvillette just makes me WEAK i love him
When he attacks I see him as the venerable immovable chief justice, and i don’t expect him to really attack as gently as he speaks when he’s not the “Judge”
EN has a better quest voice, JP has a better combat voice, CN is the best of both worlds.

Weirdly enough I feel like it fits, EN is epic, CN is perfect but when it comes to the character JP came closer to what the original (CN) tried to convey, english kind of goes on a more mature path and that wasn't what I got from his appearances in the story.

Yes its true (used google translate to read this comment). English VA's don't always get much context sadly, so Ray Chase got a look at Neuvillette with his stern expression and the cane and no other direction. Which is a contrast to how he plays in the actual game and the actor really wanted to redo the takes after he started reading for the lines of the story.

I know Ray Chase wishes he could redo the attack lines but I'm gonna be honest, I find them so funny and it gives me a chuckle every time when I'm just using normal attacks on some pyro slime or something and he's going "HAAAAA!" I like to imagine Neuvillette is letting out steam when no one is watching.

I don't know if it was this guy or someone else, but apparently the EN VAs aren't given context or anything beyond the lines themselves, and one character's VA wanted to redo his voice lines because he didn't realize how he was supposed to sound.

I wish all the voices were more like CN, calm but powerful. I love ENG voice in archon quest so much and I know the combat voice is like that bc the VA wants to convey that Neuv is the ruler of hydro but it's a bit too much.

SK sounds too old an JP ones sounds like CN, I know they used Muzan but Muzan seems to be appearing alot in anime so its getting a little repetitive.

i really can`t stand how young jp neuv voice sounds during the archon quest so i switched to eng but graaa i also can`t stand paimon`s eng voice t_t like is there any way i can just do eng neuv and jp paimon (theres none lol) I LUV the voce actor when he was voicing levi alright but DEF NOT NEUVILLETE, its sooo so sounds so wrong

Poor Ray Chase, man. He wanted to do retakes, but it was denied. He thought he was bashing people with a cane, not using a catalyst, which explains why it's so aggressive.
That being said, I really want to see Neuvillette lose his cool and just wallop someone with his cane. It'd be hilarious.

(I love his JP combat lines. I know some people have mixed feelings with his story lines but it’s actually growing on me, to the point that I don’t mind it. And my recent encounter with a stranger that looks old with youthful voice in a mall IRL kinda made me appreciate his JP voice a bit more)

Personally hes like the only character I feel (in JP) that has a voice that didnt fit him. I absolutely love Levi's VA but I expected Neuvi to have a more... "daddy" voice if you know what I mean. Like Erwin for example if we were to use AOT voice actors.

Literally everyone else sounds good besides English, his burst lines are fine but his normal attacks are waaay too aggressive and it sounds corny.

@@yujin-1907 Yeah, the thing is, I prefer Ayato's CN. For reasons of, it also captured his elegance, on top of sounding great. After hearing his CN, JP went out of my favor lol. Ayato's JP is decent. It's not all that tho.
Have a listen to Ayato's CN btw. I really think a lot of people are missing out on it, you'd compliment it the same.

Everyone has their own preference, for me English vc in game is always cringe. I always play in Japanese vc , Chinese and Korean do sound good too but Eng kinda mehhhh. # my personal opinion u don’t have to agree , it is what it is for me

The only part I dislike about ENG Neuvillette is really only the sounds he make on charged attack, the rest are simply perfectly & chef’s kiss to me! KR is second best no doubt. JP Neuvillette actually sounds amazing in combat lines to be real here. CN sounds awesome in dialogue but the combat lines need to personally grow on me more.
That should be all I think.

The voice of Japanese voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya is not rated as too high. However, when you touch the friendliness and kindness of Nuvilette, you realize that the voice is the best. If you think you have to have a deep voice, please watch the Japanese story video. His voice is the best.

EN has both a voice that fits his size and exudes authority, as well as being able to be soft. Idk I think that EN is simply better, JP miscasted hard. That being said the EN charge attack voice line sound pretty goofy 💀
I knew the English version couldn't beat JP quality.
We all touched his friendliness and kindness and that voice is still off on Neuvillette
I love the fact that he has a deep voice in other languages but in Japanese his voice sounds like a schizophrenic Gojo.
