I own a Ducati and a Harley and when I took one of these out for a quick test ride it was hard to give it back! Such a fun little bike, and especially for the $$$
I know what you mean, it’s a fun bike and at that sort of money you can sleep easy and not worry about depredation. I’ve got a Himi 450 And a Ducati multistrada v4s I ride the Himi more now. I never thought I would of said that 👍
@thatbikersimon Fantastic. Yeah I have a Multistrada 1200s and it's a great bike for long motorway journeys and tours etc, but the lightweight, lower capacity bikes are great to just chuck around. Keep up the excellent work with the channel sir. 👍
The Royal Enfield bikes are in my opinion one of the best buys out there at the moment . You get a lot of bike for so little cash. Great stream Simon thanks 👍👍👍
Great video and I like your enthusiasm! I've had my Guerrilla for 2 months now and it's a great machine, handles brilliantly and I love the way it looks (Playa Black). I've got some other bikes and this little wonder from Royal Enfield is just as much fun as my XSR 900 round the twisties. It's like you said, being only 40HP you can really give it a big handful and enjoy it, with the XSR you're constantly throttling back which can be a bit of a pain. It's probably aimed at the younger riders but we pensioners are enjoying it too!!!! 👍 Cheers, Phil (Somerset)
Thanks Phil for the comment. I like the playa black colour, That’s the one I would probably go for myself. It’s nice to have plenty of BHP but it’s also nice to have a bike you can truly ride. It’s not always about speed it’s about fun and this bike does that. I like the XSR 900 to. It sounds like you’ve got a nice mix of bikes, and the RE at that price it won’t break the bank. Enjoy 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨💨
Carol's verdict is that she loves that colour. She can flat foot it at 5ft 7. Fabulous bike for the money Nice to hear a report from the pillion seat. Great video, hope the chips were good
Thanks Richard, it’s a easy bike to ride for sure, it’s going to appeal to shorter riders, even Amy can get her her feet down, so we might end up with one ourselves at some point. The chip were to nice 😂👍
I rode one last week vs BSA gold star....found it so much more refined performance and handling than the BSA...The 450 a joy....I'd probably lean towards the Himi 450 more because it fits me better wmy 34'' legs...great ride Simon
That’s great to hear, yes it’s always worth testing a few bikes to see what suits you best. The Himalayan 450 is definitely a better bike for the taller rider and it’s also got the adjustable seat height.
Hi Simon, and Amy B we went for a ride today. My mates on a royal Enfield 650 with a side car and I was on my Can-am Ryker 900 and I was surprised today to see a few Himalayan 450s at Canungra which is a small country town south of Brisbane they look just fantastic if I had two legs I would be buying one without a doubt anyway keep up the good work guys , Amy B is looking fantastic on the bike again as usual , Cliff from Logan City, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 I’m on the big island 🏝️
Thanks Cliff, sounds like you’ve been having some fun yourself and I’m Sure is nice and sunny for you guys. I’m going to be taking a looks at some Can-ams at the bike show this November. 👍
I'll be looking at this when I go to India early next year. There the price is 2650£ on the road with the first year of insurance included. For that price it's hard to look past that bike when considering the vast support network for RE in India. The engine got great reviews in the Himalayan but I don't really want that type of bike. With a helmet and a dark visor, I as a vey white Viking or Norseman if you will, can be pretty much incognito. That can be nice sometimes since having blue eyes can gather a crowd quite quickly I have found out... God bless and lots of love from Norway.
@@thatbikersimonPeople buy RE bikes because India you are never away from RE dealerships/service centre more then 5 kilometres no matter where you are.
Love that Purple Ribbon, and the blue / white one... look great. Wish i'd had a go on one now, but at 6ft 3 suspect i'd be a bit big? Anyway - just got my Himalayan 450 (black) last week, test rode it (and the shotgun) after watching your India trip videos and it really is a brilliant bike. Royal Enfield convert!....Thank you for your videos!
Thanks for the comment and I do think your taller size would suit the Himalayan for sure. I still need to test ride the shotgun (probably coming soon) but enjoy the Himi 450 it perfectly for some winter rides. 👌
@@thatbikersimon Yep, all year round bike that one, definitely one of the attractions. Would love to see your take on on the shotgun when you ride it. Engine is beautiful, as is the general fit and finish, but feared it would be one clean and admire more than ride... plus there is just something about that 450...
Seen the bike in my neighborhood a few days ago. Didn't like it all. It is same sized as Huntr or Hunter 350 which is cheaper and better for city rides. This has small tank, less mileage snd very very expensive tyres with 450cc liquid cooled engine. May be it will liked by foreigners who don't care about the milage or expensive tyres or ride for all day. But in India it will a luxury item, rather then a affordable like Classic, Huntr/Hunter, Bullet etc. But I really like the new Interceptor Bear 650 which is a very beautiful and attractive. As a RE fan, my vote is for the Bullet 350 for all day long use in city, Himalayan 450 for adventure in long rides all day, Interceptor Bear 650 to have fun.
although the concept seems to be totally different, the appearance of the guerilla, especially in yellow outfit, reminds me a little bit of indias one cylinder answer to the ducati scrambler ikon. i can´t help it. :D :D
It’s interesting because when I first looked at the playa Black Guerilla that reminded me of the Mars bar 80s Yamaha RD, it’s a fun bike one that You can have to some fun on, and like the Himi 450 very well built 👍
Can’t put a modern water cooled engine in a vintage style bike it would be like the mona lisa wearing a baseball cap ! Classic 650 on sale next spring !

It does feel like a small bike with the 780mm seat height for sure. It’s wasn’t a issue for me at 5ft 9. At 6ft you’d need a taller seat. If you get the opportunity to ride one let me know how you get on, I would be interested to find out. Thanks 👍
It's not gorilla like monkeys, it's guerrilla like fighters or guerrilla warfare 😂 most of their models are associated with guns or fighting like bullet, shotgun, hunter etc.
Seems like a good machine, but what is wrong with Royal Enfield why can't they centralise or balance their speedo or dials they always seem lopsided how hard would it be, it would make it look so much better surrly????

Debating between this and the bear but like lighter, better gas mileage

450 is too small to have 2 up. Need at least a 600.
I guess it depends on what weight is on the bike, but we had no problems, I didn’t feel like I needed more power
not a great bike to review two up, would be much better solo with the small engine
Maybe so much so many people review bikes solo and this bien does have a pillion seat and rear pegs.
