I love him as the face of the university but if he can adapt a Saban method where Florida State University is a great opportunity for coordinators and position coaches can elevate to head coaching positions, it would be good. Saban has won alot of national and conference championships with different staff members. He didn't when just off his ideas. He hired new people that kept the identity of the team constantly evolving and this is why they were a garaunteed 10 win team every year

You have to go all the way back to 1939 Michigan Team that went (1-7) after winning the championship the prior year. More recently the 2019 LSU Tigers followed up with a (5-5) season, LSU is the first reigning champion to not finish with a winning record since 1967 M-State. Absent at least 1 more win, Mike Norvell will have managed to do what NO program has done in 100+ years of CFB history.
What is insane is listening to talking heads that never try to understand what happened and why it happened. Gqspeed13 called it correctly and this is going to impact most schools at some point in their future. It use to be years ago people snickered at some of the college classes a few players were doing to stay eligible but there was a strength of pride in a member of this school versus another school. State and regional demographics could not be more opposite, as NEB has just under 2 million people (CO 8.1M, MO 6.2M , IA 3.2M, KS 2.9M, SD 919K, WY 576K) regionally that's 21M. There are 23M people just in FL, with a high school population of 1.8M. Recruiting is the life blood of a program and is highly correlated to demographics, more than coaching changes, this has been the problem at NEB as well as all the surrounding state D1/FBS schools.

Mike is more like a good motivational speaker, empathetic and kind, not so much "dang good coach. "Jacked up seasons" What the hell are you smoking...his worst season at FSU was his first (1976) he went 5-6, in the following 14 seasons no FSU team went below .500 what an absolutely uninformed comment.

It's apparent "he" didn't do it, rather, it was Jordan Travis, Verse, Coleman, Benson & Fiske that got it done... So yea, maybe he got lucky but one things for damn certain, "luck" didn't make this a "Power Program" for nearly 2 decades....The course of human history is littered with "one hit wonders"
