Excellent effect Brother!!!! The plastic cutting board REALLY gives it depth and if you want solitary icicles it looks like you could cut them out and hot glue them down:)!!! Love your work Buddy!!!!!!

Every time I see one of these "secret ingredients" in your vids, I go hit the dollar store and find that exact item! They still had those translucent cutting boards. Thank God for Dollar Tree. And for DM Scotty!!!

AWESOME! Eager to try out that paper towel + TP method you're so keen on. What a great alternative to fussy clay.

I watched this when it first was posted. Cool project! What I really wanted to add is these cutting mats are great for actual cutting mats for someone just starting to craft . You can cut on these , acrylic paints are easy to clean off with rubbing alcohol, hot glue just peels off, gel mediums easily clean off. I will use one of these mats sometimes when I am not sure how a new product or tool will effect my more expensive craft and/or cutting mats. I would use both mats layered if cutting on Grandma's antique table until becoming familiar with how they hold up. Again the focus being for someone new to crafting.

I use that same cutting boards for a while now, it doesn't always stick good with hot glue you can sand it down n it works better. Thanks for a new idea to use them for. 😊

I wonder if that plastic is available in other transparent colors? For instance, if you could find a blue one, you might be able to do an interesting pond piece with underwater foliage and everything.

Another thing you might like to try is dropping molten white candle wax onto the underside of the plastic before gluing it to the base. It'll look like air bubbles under the ice.
